What the Terms Say
Farlight Games publishes AFK Journey (Lilith Games develops it), and its Terms of Service cover accounts in §2.5: “EVEN THOUGH WE USE THE WORD ‘YOUR’ TO DESCRIBE AN ACCOUNT YOU REGISTERED FOR, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE NO OWNERSHIP OR OTHER PROPERTY INTEREST IN THE ACCOUNT AT ALL, AND YOU FURTHER AGREE THAT ALL RIGHTS IN AND TO THE ACCOUNT ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE OWNED BY AND INURE TO THE BENEFIT OF FARLIGHTGAMES.” Access is covered in §2.4: “You agree not to disclose your password to any third party or to allow any third party to use your Account” — and §18.1(u) lists account sharing, “including but not limited to the sharing of username and password for others to login for you”, as prohibited unsportsmanlike behaviour.
§13 covers the currency. §13.1 makes Virtual Items and Virtual Currency a limited licence for personal, entertainment use: they have no “real world” value and no ownership interest in them is transferred to you. §13.2 is explicit: “You cannot sell or transfer, or attempt to sell or transfer, Virtual Items or Virtual Currency”, outside narrow in-game exchanges of items that cannot themselves be bought with real money, and “any other purported or attempted exchange is strictly prohibited”; Virtual Currency may never be redeemed for real-world money or anything of monetary value. §14.2 confirms the licence is purchased from FarlightGames and that all such purchases are final, and §21.1 sets the remedy: Farlight may suspend or terminate your Account at any time for failing to comply with the Terms.
The Official Routes
There is one official route for Diamonds: Farlight's own in-game store, billed through the App Store, Google Play or the Windows client — §14.2 of the Terms frames every Virtual Currency purchase as a licence bought from FarlightGames. Farlight runs no web top-up store for AFK Journey, and MMODude lists no Diamond sellers for the game: the game page's only category is account sellers. Third-party “top-up” shops for AFK Journey do exist on the open web, but read their delivery method before their prices — they recharge by logging into your account, which is precisely the third-party account use §2.4 forbids and the account sharing §18.1(u) prohibits. A Diamond offer that needs your password is not a top-up channel; it is a hand-over.
What Can Go Wrong
- A bought account transfers nothing Farlight recognises. Under §2.5 the seller never owned the account, and recovery runs through the Farlight account and linked logins the seller created — so the seller keeps the recovery path after the sale.
- The season clock reprices every listing. AFK Journey starts a new season every four months, and a season change resets parts of progression. An account priced on this season's progress can be worth a fraction of its listing price the week the season turns.
- Servers split the market. Listings are organised by server as well as power and S-level heroes. An account on the wrong server is a restart wearing a progressed account's price tag.
- The caution-labelled shelf is one of the big ones. GameBoost (3.8/5) is the only sub-4.0 vendor on the game page and carries MMODude's Caution label across its 730 accounts on our October 15, 2026 check — read its review before ordering there.
- No ban wave on the record — so far. We found no public record of Farlight banning AFK Journey account buyers; the documented remedies are suspension or termination under §21.1. Silence from a young game is a gap in visible enforcement, not permission: §13.2 names the conduct.
Red Flags to Avoid
- Any “Diamonds delivered to your account” top-up that asks for your password — the delivery method itself breaches §2.4 before price even comes into it.
- Diamond prices far below the in-game store on sites that need your login to “recharge” you.
- Accounts marketed on S-level hero screenshots the seller will not show live in game.
- Listings that don't state the account's server and current season.
- Sellers who refuse marketplace escrow or push payment off-platform.
Buying Checklist
- Buy Diamonds only in Farlight's in-game store; there is no authorised web top-up and no Diamond seller listed on MMODude.
- Compare the four reviewed account sellers on the game page (October 15, 2026 check): PlayerAuctions (4.3/5; about 100 accounts, roughly $6 to $1,999), G2G (4.1/5; 671 offers from 71 sellers), Eldorado (4.1/5; 1,717 accounts, mostly instant delivery) and GameBoost (3.8/5; 730 accounts, Caution label).
- Match the account's server and season to how you actually play before comparing prices.
- If you buy an account regardless: full transfer of the Farlight account and linked email at handover, change every password immediately, and verify the hero roster and power in game before escrow releases.
- Keep payment inside marketplace escrow (PlayerGuardian, Eldorado protection) and keep the order records.
The Safe Alternatives
Diamonds and recruitment resources drip out of normal play — AFK rewards, events and season content pay them slowly, and the four-month season cycle resets parts of progression, pulling spenders and free players back toward a shared baseline. If you do spend, the in-game store is the only channel Farlight itself operates. The reviewed sellers on the AFK Journey game page are listed for comparison; this guide's bottom line is that Diamonds should only ever come from Farlight's own store, and an account purchase is a transfer the Terms never recognise in the first place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you buy AFK Journey Diamonds from other players?
No. AFK Journey has no player trading, and §13.2 of Farlight’s Terms states “You cannot sell or transfer, or attempt to sell or transfer, Virtual Items or Virtual Currency”. Diamonds reach an account only by buying them from Farlight in the game. Third-party top-up shops deliver by logging into your account — the third-party account use §2.4 forbids and the account sharing §18.1(u) prohibits.
Is it safe to buy an AFK Journey account?
The market is big — Eldorado listed 1,717 accounts and G2G 671 offers on our October 15, 2026 check — but §2.5 of Farlight’s Terms gives you no ownership interest in an account at all, and the seller keeps the original Farlight and linked logins that account recovery runs through. If you buy regardless, take full control of the account and its linked email at handover, change the passwords, and verify the roster in game before escrow releases.
Which AFK Journey account seller is best?
By MMODude score: PlayerAuctions (4.3/5; about 100 accounts at roughly $6 to $1,999), then G2G (4.1/5; 671 offers from 71 sellers) and Eldorado (4.1/5; 1,717 accounts, mostly instant delivery). GameBoost (3.8/5; 730 accounts) carries a Caution label — read its review before ordering. Counts are from our October 15, 2026 check and move daily.
Why does the season matter when buying an AFK Journey account?
A new season starts every four months and a season change resets parts of progression, so an account’s value depends on where it sits in the current season. A progressed account bought just before the turn can lose much of what you paid for — check the account’s season and server before comparing listings.
