This policy explains how MMODude decides what to publish, how we gather and check information, how we handle money and independence, and what happens when we get something wrong. It applies to every page on the site — game pages, vendor reviews, guides, tools and news.
Game marketplace pages. A vendor appears on a game page only if we have found a genuine, verifiable track record for that specific game — a general reputation across the industry is not enough. We list categories (currency, accounts, boosting, items, top-ups) only where a real market exists. Where the publisher sells the currency directly, where trade is locked to a region, where the game has shut down, or where the community project explicitly forbids real-money trade, we replace the vendor list with a plain explanation.
Vendor reviews. Each review scores four categories — Delivery Speed, Customer Support, Pricing, and Trust & Security — and explains strengths and caveats. The method is described in Our Review Process. Where a vendor has a documented pattern of problems, we say so on its listing rather than removing it or softening the language.
Farming and leveling guides. Guides are researched from official patch notes and game documentation, established community references and current in-game mechanics. Where advice depends on a patch, season or expansion, we name it so you can judge whether it still applies.
Safety and buying guides. These explain how scams work, how delivery methods differ, how refunds and disputes generally function, and what a publisher's rules say. They are educational; they are not legal advice and not an encouragement to break a game's terms.
Tools. Calculators use published or stated rules and show their inputs. Where a rule can change with a game update, the tool says so and lets you edit the values.
We start with primary sources: a game's own rules and support pages, a vendor's own terms and policies, and official announcements. We then look at review platforms such as Trustpilot, independent scam-checking tools, and reports from forums, Reddit and Discord communities. Community reports are treated as signals, not proof: we look for patterns across several independent sources, we weigh recent reports more than old ones, and we do not publish an accusation against a vendor as fact on the strength of a single anonymous claim.
MMODude earns money through affiliate commissions and advertising. That is a conflict of interest, and we manage it openly. Scores and rankings are assigned from the evidence described above; commission rates and partnership status are not inputs. Vendors cannot pay for a higher position, for removal, or for a caution flag to be lifted, and they do not see or approve reviews before publication. Where a placement is commercial — for example our recommended-marketplace callout and our banner advertising — it is shown separately from ranked lists and labeled. Scores are editorial assessments on a five-point scale, built from publicly available signals rather than from our own test orders with every vendor. Review counts and ratings quoted from third-party platforms are accurate as of when we researched them and will drift. Prices on the Price Tracker and on game pages are indicative ranges gathered from multiple marketplaces, not a live feed or a quote — always confirm the current price at the vendor before you pay.
Game economies, vendor standing and publisher rules change. We revisit pages when we learn of a material change — a patch that alters an economy, a vendor incident, a policy update, a game launch or shutdown — and we prioritize safety-related information. Pages marked as launch-window or pre-release say so, and we add vendor information only when a real market exists.
If you believe something on MMODude is wrong, email support@mmodude.com with the page address, what you think is incorrect and, if possible, a source. We will review the report, and when an error is confirmed we correct it promptly. When a correction changes a score, a safety statement or a recommendation in a way that matters to readers, we say so on the page. Vendors have the same right to request a factual correction; evidence is welcome, but a correction request is never a negotiation over a score.
We use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help gather sources and draft material. Those tools do not decide what is true: claims are checked against the sources described above, figures we cannot verify are removed or labeled, and errors that are found after publication are corrected under the policy above.
