What the Rules Say
The one rule that is verified and quotable decides the market’s shape: “Diamonds may only be used by the account that bought them. Transferring Diamonds to another account is not possible.” That is InnoGames’ own wording, and it eliminates an entire product category — there is no legitimate Diamonds top-up by a third party, because the balance cannot move.
Beyond that, this guide stays honest in the pattern of our rules-unclear guides: no publisher clause about account trading was verified in the checked material, so none is quoted or invented. The practical frame is the marketplaces’ own: both verified shelves run under escrow (G2G’s GamerProtect, PlayerAuctions’ PlayerGuardian), and escrow is the only arbitration a deal here will ever get.
The Official Routes
Inside the game, a city is built: Forge Points through the technology tree, age by age, with Great Buildings levelled on contributions — our leveling guide walks the climb, and the Diamonds guide covers the balances. Diamonds themselves are bought in game for your own account or earned slowly. The verified outside routes are the two account shelves. G2G (4.1/5 on MMODude) runs its accounts category under GamerProtect — listing data at $55 to $1,890 and InStock at our check. PlayerAuctions (4.3/5) runs the second shelf under PlayerGuardian at $25 to $5,250, rated 5.0 across 20 reviews with 20 orders in two years, its reviews naming Diamond-loaded cities up to a 256,310-Diamond account.
What Can Go Wrong
- The original owner remains the recovery risk. An account sale is a credential transfer: you receive the login, and the person who created the account keeps its history. Change the password and recovery details immediately, and buy only through escrow so a recovery has a dispute process attached.
- “Diamonds delivered” is always something else. Given the account-lock, a seller offering Diamonds to your existing city is offering a login handover, a modded product, or nothing at all. The verified shelves sell accounts; price Diamond value as part of a city, never as a delivery.
- Age is not value by itself. Two cities of the same age differ by their Great Buildings and balances. A listing that does not state age, headline Great Buildings and banked Diamonds plainly cannot be priced — walk away from vague listings.
- Shelf depth is unverified on G2G. Its category data confirms the category, the $55 to $1,890 band and InStock status; it does not expose an offer count. PlayerAuctions’ figures are the countable ones (20 orders in two years) — a real but modest market, priced accordingly.
Red Flags to Avoid
- Any Forge of Empires Diamonds top-up, generator or delivery offer — the publisher’s rules make the product impossible.
- Account listings with no age, no Great Building detail and no balance statement.
- Sellers pushing the deal off the marketplace into chat, paid by gift card or crypto, outside GamerProtect or PlayerGuardian escrow.
- Prices far below the $25 floor both shelves showed at our check for anything claiming to be a developed city.
Buying Checklist
- Decide the city you are pricing: target age, the Great Buildings that matter to you, and a minimum banked balance — then compare listings on those three numbers only.
- Buy inside the marketplace’s escrow (GamerProtect on G2G, PlayerGuardian on PlayerAuctions) and keep all communication in the order thread.
- On delivery, change the password and recovery email immediately and check the account’s age, buildings and balances against the listing before closing the order.
- Benchmark against building it yourself: the leveling guide’s climb is slow but free, and the account premium should price the time, not a fantasy.
The Safe Alternatives
The safe route is the game itself: Forge of Empires is free, its ages are the content, and the two-week update cadence (1.346 current) keeps a played city supplied with events and passes. Our leveling guide covers research pacing and Great Building investment, and the Diamonds guide covers what play pays. If you buy, a whole account under escrow is the only shape the verified market sells — never a Diamonds delivery.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you buy Forge of Empires Diamonds?
No — the product cannot exist. InnoGames’ own rules state Diamonds may only be used by the account that bought them and cannot be transferred to another account. Banked Diamonds trade only inside whole sold accounts.
How much does a Forge of Empires account cost?
G2G’s category data ran $55 to $1,890 and PlayerAuctions’ shelf ran $25 to $5,250 at our October 2026 check, priced on the city’s age, Great Buildings and banked balances.
How are Forge of Empires accounts delivered?
By credential transfer under escrow. PlayerAuctions’ own how-to has login details auto-delivered in under two minutes on instant offers or sent manually within 24 hours; G2G confirms the account handover under GamerProtect. Change the credentials and recovery details immediately.
Which marketplace is better for Forge of Empires accounts?
Both were verified: G2G (4.1/5 on MMODude) showed the tighter price band and an InStock category, PlayerAuctions (4.3/5) showed the countable track record — 5.0 across 20 reviews, 20 orders in two years, delivered reviews naming a 256,310-Diamond city. Compare live listings on age, Great Buildings and balances.
