What the Terms Say
Moonton’s Terms of Service govern Magic Chess: Go Go as they govern its other games. On Virtual Currency they are short and absolute: a purchase of Virtual Currency “is final and is not refundable, exchangeable, transferable” except at Moonton’s sole discretion, and “You may not purchase, sell, or exchange Virtual Currency outside the Service. Doing so is a violation of the Terms and may result in termination of your account with the Service and/or legal action.”
That wording is why the delivery shape matters more than the brand on the storefront. A top-up that credits your own account through the game’s official recharge channels is how the whole legitimate market — in-game purchase, Codashop and the reseller shelves — operates. A balance moved between players, or a top-up performed by logging in as you, is the outside-the-Service exchange the clause names. Diamonds also never cross games: a Magic Chess: Go Go balance and a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang balance are separate wallets on separate accounts, whatever a listing implies.
The Official Routes
Diamonds are sold in the game itself, and through Codashop, the official-channel top-up store for this title: you enter your User ID and Zone ID, pick a pack, pay, and the Diamonds are credited instantly — Codashop’s US storefront lists 55 to 6,000 Diamonds at $0.94 to $94.99, a Weekly Pass at $1.89, and prices vary by regional storefront. The headline purchase the Diamonds feed is the Go Go Pass, the seasonal premium track, at 1,750 Diamonds on Codashop’s listing; the Weekly Pass pays 80 Diamonds immediately and 20 a day for seven days (220 in total) plus Pass Points. Diamonds buy commanders, commander and chessboard skins and shop bundles; they do not buy wins — nothing in the shop changes what happens on the board.
What Can Go Wrong
- The wrong game is the standing trap. Listings, guides and even storefront categories blur Magic Chess: Go Go into Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, because Go Go began life as an MLBB mode and shares its heroes and its Diamond name. They are different games. An MLBB Diamond top-up credited to an MLBB account does nothing for a Go Go account, and a refund argument afterwards is uphill.
- A wrong Zone ID is a lost top-up. ID delivery is exact: the User ID and the Zone ID (the bracketed server number in your profile) together identify the wallet. Codashop’s own FAQ stresses checking the ID before payment; Diamonds credited to a wrong-but-real ID belong to that account.
- Login-delivered “discount” Diamonds carry the usual reversal risk. SEAGM (3.9/5 on MMODude) and IGVault (4.6/5) both run Go Go top-up shelves in the tracked set, fulfilled by sellers whose delivery should be ID crediting. Any offer whose price only works if the seller logs in as you, or pays through a stranger’s store account, exposes your balance to that payment being reversed — and your account to Moonton’s outside-the-Service clause.
- Diamonds buy cosmetics and commanders, not power. The Go Go Pass premium track pays commander skins, emotes, star-protection cards and accessories; commanders themselves change your match options, not your stats against other players. A listing pricing Diamonds as a competitive shortcut is overselling what the currency does.
Red Flags to Avoid
- A listing that says “Mobile Legends” anywhere in the product for a Go Go top-up — or a Go Go product filed under an MLBB category. Wrong game, wrong wallet.
- Any top-up that asks for your Moonton password or a login code instead of your User ID and Zone ID.
- “Diamonds transferred from my account” — Moonton’s Terms make Virtual Currency non-transferable; no player-to-player Diamond delivery exists.
- Prices far below Codashop’s pack ladder with no explanation of the delivery channel.
- A seller who will not state the region of their storefront — pack sizes and prices differ by region (the US and Singapore Codashop ladders are not the same).
Buying Checklist
- Benchmark against Codashop’s US ladder first: 55 to 6,000 Diamonds at $0.94 to $94.99, Weekly Pass $1.89, Go Go Pass 1,750 Diamonds (prices vary by regional storefront; check your own region’s page). A reseller’s saving should be small and explainable against that ladder.
- Confirm the game on the listing is Magic Chess: Go Go — standalone auto-battler — before anything else, then the delivery: User ID + Zone ID crediting, no password at any step.
- Copy both IDs from your in-game profile and re-check them at checkout; the Zone ID is the number most often dropped, and it is half the address.
- On SEAGM or IGVault, keep the order inside the platform, read the individual offer’s delivery text, and keep the receipt until the Diamonds show in game.
The Safe Alternatives
The honest free Diamond income is thin by design — Diamonds are “not commonly earned through matches or missions”, as the top-up pages themselves put it — but the Weekly Pass is the value route the official channel pushes: $1.89 for 220 Diamonds over a week plus Pass Points, against buying the same Diamonds outright. If you spend beyond that, spend through Codashop or the in-game store on the account you own. Everything the currency buys is visible, cosmetic or convenience — your rank still comes from the board, which is what our in-match Gold guide and progression guide cover.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Magic Chess: Go Go the same game as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang?
No. Magic Chess: Go Go is Moonton’s standalone eight-player auto-battler, spun out of the Magic Chess mode that began inside MLBB. It has its own app, its own account and its own Diamond balance. An MLBB Diamond top-up credits an MLBB wallet and does nothing for a Go Go account, and vice versa — check the game named on any listing before you pay.
How does a Magic Chess: Go Go Diamond top-up work?
By User ID and Zone ID, with no password anywhere in it. On Codashop, the official-channel store, you enter both IDs from your in-game profile, choose a pack — 55 to 6,000 Diamonds at $0.94 to $94.99 on its US storefront — pay, and the Diamonds are credited instantly. SEAGM (3.9/5 on MMODude) and IGVault (4.6/5) sell the same ID-crediting shape through seller shelves; any offer that asks for your login instead has left the legitimate shape.
What do Diamonds buy in Magic Chess: Go Go?
Commanders, commander and chessboard skins, shop bundles and the Go Go Pass — the seasonal premium track, listed at 1,750 Diamonds on Codashop. The Weekly Pass ($1.89 on the US storefront) is the value alternative: 80 Diamonds at once, then 20 a day for seven days, 220 in total, plus Pass Points. Nothing Diamonds buy changes the outcome of a match on the board; the premium layer is cosmetic and convenience.
Can you buy Diamonds from another player?
No. Moonton’s Terms state that Virtual Currency is not transferable and that you “may not purchase, sell, or exchange Virtual Currency outside the Service”, on pain of account termination. Diamonds reach an account by in-game purchase or an ID top-up through a top-up channel — never by a player-to-player transfer, which the game provides no function for.
