What the Terms Say
Nexon's Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (current version, updated September 8, 2026) cover virtual currency inside §I's Limited License: “you have no right to sell or otherwise transfer any of the virtual items, virtual currency, points, or any other content or information from the Services, in whole or in part, on internet auction sites (such as eBay or IGE), hack sites, private server sites, gold farming sites, or any other third-party sites or services or in return for anything of value (whether real money or otherwise).” The licence itself is “automatically rescinded and terminated” on any breach. Mesos held inside a MapleStory Worlds world are virtual currency under that clause — the Terms draw no exception for player-built worlds.
Accounts get their own paragraph in §I: “We do not recognize or allow the transfer of accounts between players. You may not, and may not offer to, purchase, sell, gift, or trade any account. Any such attempt shall be null and void and may result in the termination and forfeiture of the account.” And §V's Code of Conduct bans the sales side by name — “Selling, advertising, or posting information on hacks, private servers (including sources thereof), or gold farming for the Services” — alongside the bots, macros and robot play that cheap meso supply typically runs on.
The Official Routes
Nexon sells exactly one money-in product across its platform: NX, its prepaid cash currency, sold through Nexon's own site and stores and via Nexon Game Cards. Under its Terms of Sale, NX has no real-world value and buys cash-shop goods and platform items. Mesos are not on that menu — Nexon has never sold them, in MapleStory Worlds or in any other MapleStory title. Inside a world such as Artale they are earned at the world's own rates (Artale runs classic 1x drop rates) and move between players only through in-world systems like its Auction House. So there is no official mesos top-up and no Nexon-authorized mesos reseller: the one marketplace MMODude lists, G2G, is a third-party peer-to-peer market operating outside Nexon's Terms, listed here for comparison.
What Can Go Wrong
- One marketplace deep. G2G is the only vendor MMODude lists for MapleStory Worlds, in both the mesos and the account categories (4.1/5). Thin markets mean thin price discovery: one seller's rate can pass for “the market rate”, and stock can disappear between checks. Our page check verified the listings exist; it cannot make the market deep.
- Bought mesos sit on a forfeitable account. Under §IV, if an account is permanently banned, “all content licenses and virtual currency balances associated with the suspended account are forfeited”, and Nexon “will not reimburse you for any virtual currency, points, items, or experience lost due to your violation of these Terms”.
- Bot stock is the cheap stock. §V bans bots, macros, auto-looting and robot play. In a 1x-rate economy, hand-farmed mesos are expensive to produce; suspiciously cheap supply is usually automated, and it is the buyer left holding it when enforcement lands.
- A bought account is void on paper. §I makes the transfer itself null and void, with termination and forfeiture as the remedy — and a MapleStory Worlds login is a Nexon account, so the seller's recovery path covers the buyer's whole Nexon library, not just one world.
- World and game mismatch. Mesos live inside a specific world (Artale) and cannot be moved to another. Listings written for mainline MapleStory or MapleStory M — different games with separate MMODude pages — are worthless to a Worlds player, and the similar names are a standing source of bad purchases.
Red Flags to Avoid
- Mesos priced far below G2G's listed market — in a 1x economy that gap means bot stock or an outright scam, not generosity.
- Sellers advertising in game chat or Discord servers — §V bans even advertising gold farming, and the listed market does not recruit in-world.
- Anyone asking for your Nexon password to “deliver” mesos — delivery is an in-world trade or an Auction House purchase; credentials are never part of it.
- Accounts sold without the original email and a full Nexon account handover.
- Listings that blur MapleStory Worlds with mainline MapleStory or MapleStory M.
Buying Checklist
- Benchmark against G2G's live MapleStory Worlds listings first — it is the only listed market, so treat its going rate as the reference, not a floor to beat.
- Confirm the listing's world (Artale) before paying; mesos cannot move between worlds.
- Start with a small first order and pay inside G2G's own checkout so its buyer protection applies; never move payment off-platform to Discord, Telegram or direct transfer.
- Verify the mesos have landed in game before confirming delivery or releasing payment.
- If you buy an account regardless: original email plus full Nexon account transfer at handover, change the password immediately, and log in to verify characters and balances before funds release.
The Safe Alternatives
The sanctioned ways to build mesos in Artale are the ones MMODude's farming guide documents: grind where drops sell, move scrolls and equipment through the Auction House, and run Kerning City Party Quest for its loot. If you spend real money on the platform, NX from Nexon is the purchase it actually operates — spent on cash-shop goods, not mesos. The one third-party marketplace is listed for comparison; this guide's bottom line is that Nexon's documents prohibit the mesos trade itself, so any purchase is priced risk, not a shortcut around it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you buy MapleStory Worlds mesos officially?
No. Nexon sells NX, its platform cash currency, through its own store and game cards — it has never sold mesos for MapleStory Worlds or any other MapleStory game. Mesos are earned in-world: in Artale they are earned at classic 1x rates and move between players through in-world systems like the Auction House. Every mesos listing you will ever see is a third-party sale, which Nexon’s Terms prohibit.
Is G2G an official Nexon partner for MapleStory Worlds?
No. G2G is the one third-party marketplace MMODude lists for the game (4.1/5 in our review, with verified mesos and account listings on our October 2026 check), but nothing about it is Nexon-authorized — §I of Nexon’s Terms gives players no right to sell virtual currency through third-party sites at all. It is listed for comparison, and its buyer protection is the main practical safeguard.
Can Nexon ban you for buying mesos?
The Terms are written to allow exactly that: breaching them rescinds your licence (§I), §V bans selling or advertising gold farming, and §IV states that on a permanent ban all virtual currency balances are forfeited, with nothing lost through a Terms violation reimbursed. Whether any given purchase is detected is a separate question from what the documents permit.
Why is only one seller listed — and no boosting?
Because that is the verified market as of our October 13, 2026 check: G2G was the only marketplace with real MapleStory Worlds mesos and account listings, and no active boosting listings were found for the game at all. The platform is young and Artale’s economy is small; if more reviewed vendors verify listings, the game page will list them.
