Where New World Stands
On October 28, 2025, Amazon Games said it was no longer sustainable to keep making content for New World: Aeternum. Season 10: Nighthaven is the final content release. Servers are planned to stay live through 2026, and Amazon promised at least six months’ notice before any change that stops people playing. Bug fixes, server merges, world bosses, bonus weeks and some seasonal events continue (Icy Veins, Shacknews).
What It Means for Gold Buyers
- Shrinking economy. Server merges move gold between markets, and with no new content prices tend to drift as players leave.
- A fixed horizon. Gold and accounts bought now only last as long as the servers; watch for the six-month notice.
- Same rules. Amazon’s terms still apply. Gold from bots or exploits can be removed, and bought accounts can be recovered by their first owners.
Official Options
Marks of Fortune can still be bought and used, though Amazon says that could change, and they are non-refundable. They buy cosmetics and convenience items, not gold. The game itself stays on sale on all platforms and in PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium until further notice.
Red Flags to Avoid
- Sellers asking for your Amazon, Steam or console login to deliver gold.
- Huge discounts right after a merge, which often means duplicated or exploited gold.
- Offers of New World accounts “with future content”: there won’t be any.
If You Decide to Go Ahead
