What Arc Games Says
Arc Games’ support article on third-party sites is direct: using them puts your account security at risk, the currency they sell is often obtained by breaking into other players’ accounts or misusing payment cards, and buying from them breaks the Terms of Service. It warns that purchasing from these sites “can result in the permanent closure of your account.”
The Terms it quotes cover the whole market: section 15.2 bars trading, selling, auctioning or transferring any virtual item outside the game, and section 23.1 bars selling or transferring accounts, characters, items, coin or Zen without authorization.
The Official Route: Zen
Arc’s alternative is to buy Zen through Arc itself, Steam, the Xbox Marketplace or the PlayStation Store, then use it in game. Zen bought this way is the only premium currency Arc guarantees, and support can help if a purchase goes wrong.
What Can Go Wrong
- Account closure. The stated penalty for buying is permanent closure, not only removal of the gold.
- Stolen goods. Arc says sellers often supply currency taken from hacked accounts, which is the most likely thing to be traced and removed.
- Account theft. Any seller who asks for your login can take the account; Arc support will treat it as a rules breach, not a theft.
Red Flags to Avoid
- Requests for your Arc login, email password or authenticator codes.
- Prices far below other sellers, which often means hacked or card-fraud supply.
- Promises that the gold “can’t be banned”: Arc’s own article says it can close the account.
- Payment only by crypto, gift cards or bank transfer.
