ARC Raiders has one main currency, Coins, and you earn it by selling what you bring back alive. The item values and route yields below come from fan and vendor guides, not from Embark, and they shift with patches and events. Treat every number as a starting point and check your own sell screen.
ARC Raiders is a multiplayer extraction shooter from Embark Studios that launched on October 30, 2025, with solo play and squads of up to three. You drop onto a map from the underground hub of Speranza, fight machines and other players, and try to reach an extraction point. This guide is about the money side. For skills, benches and quests, see our ARC Raiders leveling guide.
What's Confirmed, Reported and Unknown
Confirmed means it comes from a source we could read directly and that quotes the game. Reported means it comes from vendor and fan guides. Unpublished means no source we found documents it.

The Currencies
Four currencies matter, and only one of them comes from raiding.
- Coins pay for trader purchases, workshop upgrades, gear replacement and skill resets. This is the currency you farm.
- Cred is a cosmetic progression currency earned through daily Feats, separate from the raid economy.
- Raider Tokens are the premium cosmetic currency, and the weekly trader Ermal sells them.
- Seeds are a trade currency used with the vendor Celeste and also have sale value.
Because a full skill respec costs 2,000 Coins per skill point, it is worth keeping a small reserve instead of spending to zero after every raid.
Extract or Lose It
The whole economy follows one rule: you do not get paid for looting, you get paid for extracting. Anything in your backpack when you die is lost, and only your Safe Pocket survives. That changes how you should farm.
- Fill the Safe Pocket first with keys and keycards, then rare quest items, then ultra-rare workshop materials.
- When you are farming coins, put your highest-value trinket in the Safe Pocket so a bad fight does not erase the run.
- Blueprints are permanent unlocks, so protect them ahead of anything you could re-buy.
- Leave early once your bag is full of good loot. A short raid you finish beats a long one you do not.
What to Sell and What to Keep
Value per inventory slot beats total item count. Blue and purple valuables carry the most Coins per slot, while low-value utility parts are usually better dismantled.
| Item | Reported value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Lance's Mixtape (5th Ed.) | About 10,000 Coins | Top-value trinket in the LepreStore guide |
| Breathtaking Snow Globe | About 7,000 Coins | High value per slot |
| Red Coral Jewelry, Music Box, Playing Cards | About 5,000 Coins each | Common mid-tier sells |
| Fertilizer from Blue Gate farmland | About 1,000 Coins each | Stacks to five, per KeenGamer |
Do not sell anything an upgrade needs. The LepreStore guide flags Advanced Electrical Components (ten needed across upgrades), Advanced Mechanical Components (five for Gunsmith III), ARC Circuitry (ten for Refiner III), quest items such as Fertilizer, Water Pump, Film Reel and Duct Tape, and the fruit and materials used to train Scrappy. Selling these often means farming them again later.
Early and Late Routes
These routes are community-reported and change with patches, so treat them as ideas to test rather than guarantees.
- Early game: the Old Battleground area on Dam Battlegrounds, looting central ARC machines and defeating ARC Couriers, is reported at about 40,000 Coins per raid.
- Late game: the Blue Gate farmland village is reported as relatively quiet, with weak enemies and dense loot including purple valuables and fertilizer piles.
- Free loadouts: deploy with a free loadout while you build a coin reserve, so a death costs you nothing you bought.
Scrappy the Rooster
Scrappy is your passive collector in Speranza. Once fully trained through five levels, the LepreStore guide reports it brings back 3,000 to 5,000 Coins worth of materials per raid. Training needs specific fruit and materials such as apricot, lemon, olives, prickly pear, mushroom and a pillow, so do not sell those early. Training Scrappy is one of the few coin sources that works even when you lose the raid.
Stash and Recycling
Backpack space and weight are the real limits, so organize your stash before you optimize routes.
- Ready Kits: keep one to three loadouts you are willing to run.
- Project Box: only what your next upgrades and quests need.
- Sale Bin: everything else, sold in one trip.
- Merge Stacks reportedly recovers 20 to 30 slots, and field recycling mid-raid is reported to raise extraction value by 30 to 40% because components weigh less than the item they came from.
Repair gear when replacing it would need rare blueprints or epic materials. Recycle it when the repair would eat scarce components you need for upgrades. Replace it when it is common and space is tight.
Events
Map events concentrate rare loot in one place. The KeenGamer guide lists Prospecting Probes, Harvester, Uncovered Caches, Husk Graveyard, Launch Tower Loot, Lush Blooms and the Darkness modifier as the high-value ones. Events also attract other players, so bring a loadout you can afford to lose.
The Premium Trader
A weekly trader named Ermal appears in Speranza for players at level 25 or above. According to PC Gamer: the new trader in Speranza, he sells cosmetics, blueprints, Raider Tokens, progression items, expanded stash space and Expedition Vault access, and he takes high-value ARC materials and rare weapons as payment. One cosmetic reportedly costs 500,000 Coins worth of items, so this is an endgame sink, not a reason to skip early upgrades.
Buying Coins
Some vendors sell ARC Raiders coins, accounts and boosting. Because the game has no official player-to-player trading, all of it sits outside the game's own systems, and your account is the one at risk if the publisher takes action. We list the vendors we have reviewed on the ARC Raiders page, ranked by our own scores, and we cover the risks in Is Buying MMO Gold Safe? Earning Coins by playing is the only option with no account risk.
Common Mistakes
- Selling upgrade materials because the sell price looked good.
- Carrying a full bag into a fight instead of extracting.
- Leaving the Safe Pocket empty or filled with low-value items.
- Spending every Coin so you cannot afford a skill respec or a gear replacement.
- Ignoring Scrappy training, which works even when you die.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best way to make Coins in ARC Raiders?
Sell high-value trinkets and valuables you extract with, train Scrappy so it brings back materials every raid, and run quiet late-game areas such as Blue Gate. Reported early routes such as the Old Battleground yield about 40,000 Coins per raid.
What should I never sell in ARC Raiders?
Anything an upgrade or quest needs, including Advanced Electrical Components, Advanced Mechanical Components, ARC Circuitry, quest items and Scrappy training materials, according to the LepreStore guide.
What is Scrappy in ARC Raiders?
Scrappy is a rooster that collects materials for you between raids. Fully trained, it is reported to bring back 3,000 to 5,000 Coins worth of materials per raid.
Do I lose my loot if I die in ARC Raiders?
Yes. You keep only what is in your Safe Pocket, so loot only counts once you extract back to Speranza.
What are Raider Tokens?
Raider Tokens are the premium cosmetic currency. The weekly trader Ermal sells them, along with cosmetics, blueprints and stash space.
Should I buy ARC Raiders coins or accounts from a third-party site?
There is no official player-to-player trading, so anything sold outside the game carries ban, chargeback and scam risk. If you still buy, use a vendor with buyer protection and read our guide to buying safely.
What does a skill respec cost?
A full respec is reported to cost 2,000 Coins per skill point and is all-or-nothing, so keep a reserve.
