Bleach: Brave Souls Spirit Orb Farming Guide: Quests, Events & Co-op

Spirit Orbs are Brave Souls’ summon currency, and the game’s honest secret is that most of them are one-time income: first clears, first max-outs, first meetings in co-op. That makes Orb farming a planning exercise, not a loop — clear the backlog in the right order, run the small daily income without fail, and bank the pile for a banner worth spending on. This guide lists every route the sources document.

Read This First: Orbs Are a Backlog, Not a Wage

Spirit Orbs cannot be traded between players. The only legitimate paid route is the in-game shop and the authorised top-ups in our Bleach: Brave Souls buying guide. Because so much free Orb income is one-time, a seller promising a steady Orb “delivery” to your account is promising something the game does not support — what they are selling is your login or a different account.

A multi-summon costs 250 Orbs and a single 25 in the guides checked, so the unit of planning is the multi. The routes below fall into two kinds: the backlog — story, sub stories and unmaxed characters, which pays once and is large — and the drip — daily orders, missions, logins and events, which pays small amounts forever. New and returning players are rich in backlog; veterans live on the drip plus events.

First Clears: Story, Sub Stories and Quests

The beginners guide documents the base rate plainly: finishing a quest stage at three stars for the first time pays 5 Spirit Orbs, and only the first clear pays. The main story, the sub stories and event quests all carry that first-clear income, which is why an unfinished story is best understood as a bank of unclaimed Orbs. Work it in order, three-starring as you go — going back later for a missed star is the same 5 Orbs for more effort.

The GameFAQs farming discussion makes the same point from the veteran side: players report sitting on thousands of Orbs with story and sub-story content still uncleared, because the backlog dwarfs the daily drip. If you are short of Orbs, audit your uncleared content before you audit your luck.

Maxing Characters: The Orb Reward Table

The second backlog is your roster itself. The first time a character is taken to their maximum level, the game pays Orbs by star rank. PlayerAssist and the beginners guide agree on the table:

Character (first max only)Spirit Orbs
1-star, level 405
2-star, level 5010
3-star, level 6025
4-star, level 7035
5-star, level 10050
6-star, level 15075

Each version of a character pays once — the same character in a different form is a separate payout, per PlayerAssist. The practical farm is the low end: low-star characters max quickly on crystals and EXP from the crystal and power-up quests, so a box of unmaxed low-rarity units is a modest, real Orb reserve. Do not burn your best upgrade materials here; the 5- and 6-star payouts belong to characters you are maxing for play anyway, as the leveling guide covers.

The Drip: Orders, Missions, Co-op and Raids

The repeatable income is small and schedulable. The GameFAQs discussion lists 5 Orbs for completing all daily orders each day, daily and weekly missions paying Orbs among their rewards, and an achievement-points system that can be redeemed toward weekly bonuses including Orbs. Events add limited-time Orb income through their missions and exchanges, and anniversary and maintenance gifts arrive irregularly — claim them; they expire.

Co-op is the social route. The same discussion credits Epic Raids played with new people as a meaningful one-time Orb source — up to 600 Orbs across first-time partners in that account — because first-meeting bonuses pay for filling raid rooms with players you have not run with before. Regular co-op and raid play also pays the crystals and materials the maxing farm above consumes, so the two halves of this guide feed each other.

Spending Orbs Without Wasting the Backlog

Buying Spirit Orbs & Accounts

Officially, Orbs are bought in the in-game shop; authorised top-up routes and their prices are compared in our Bleach: Brave Souls buying guide. There is no legitimate market in farmed Orbs, because Orbs cannot move between accounts — third-party listings resolve into accounts or login-based services, with the recovery and ban risks the buying guide sets out. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fastest way to get Spirit Orbs in Brave Souls?

Clear the backlog: three-star first clears pay 5 Orbs each across story, sub stories and quests, and first-time maxing a character pays 5 to 75 Orbs by star rank. Veterans without backlog live on the drip — all daily orders (5 Orbs), missions, events and Epic Raid first-meeting bonuses.

How many Orbs does maxing a character give?

By star rank, per PlayerAssist and the community beginners guide: 5 for a 1-star, 10 for a 2-star, 25 for a 3-star, 35 for a 4-star, 50 for a 5-star and 75 for a 6-star — once per character version.

Do repeat clears of a stage pay Orbs?

No. The 5-Orb first-clear reward is one-time, at three stars. Repeat clears pay EXP, coins and materials — which is why repeat play belongs to the leveling and crystal farms, and first clears are the Orb farm.

Can you buy Spirit Orbs from another player?

No. Orbs are account-bound. Legitimate purchases are the in-game shop and the authorised top-ups in our buying guide; anything else is an account sale or a login service.
