Three Gems, Three Summons
The official GTarcade how-to names the summon currencies: Common Astral Gems buy Normal Summons (C to A saints), Advanced Astral Gems buy Zodiac Summons (B to S saints) and limited-pool summons (SS saints during their windows), and AR Astral Gems buy AR Zodiac Summons with the same rewards as Zodiac. The summon you want decides the gem you farm.
Prices from the same how-to: Common Astral Gems cost 30,000 gold each, Advanced Astral Gems cost 100 diamonds each, and AR Astral Gems come from operational events. Advanced gems are therefore a diamond problem, not a gold problem.
Diamonds: The Pipeline Behind the Gems
Diamonds are the premium currency, and the fan advice is unanimous: save them for Advanced Gems. Daily and event quests pay diamonds, and the PlayerAuctions tips page recommends the Advanced Gem Pack — 11 Advanced Gems for the price of 10 — as the conversion, bought once you hold 1,000 diamonds. Spending diamonds on stamina instead is the leak the guides warn about.
Do not spend diamonds on Normal Summons. Common gems are cheap in gold, and a Normal Summon cannot give you the S saints that Zodiac Summons exist for. Diamonds spent anywhere but Advanced or themed summons are diamonds spent twice: once on the purchase, once on the summon you delayed.
The Weekly Split: Spare Saints Into Summons
A fan tips compilation documents a weekly conversion: split useless A and B saints to recover currency, 200 per week, enough for 5 Advanced Gems, resetting weekly from the character-list menu. It is the only repeatable gem source that does not cost diamonds, and it rewards keeping the roster clean rather than hoarding saints you will never field.
C saints are the exception: the same compilation advises keeping most of them, because they feed growth-tome rebirths. Split A and B spares, keep C saints for rebirth, and never split a saint you have not checked against your build.
Where Diamonds Come From
Daily quests are the base: the PlayerAuctions tips page puts daily and event quest completion first among diamond sources, with limited-time events paying more but only to players at the level to complete them. Arena modes — Saints Arena, Train Hall, Galactic Duel, Sacred Duel — pay diamonds through their reward tracks, per the fan manual, and Train Ground activity points raise the stamina limit that lets you play more of them.
The discipline is the same as the pipeline: diamonds are for Advanced and themed summons only, per the fan manual’s summoning advice. Every other diamond purchase competes with the next banner.
Buying Gems Instead
Diamonds and Advanced Gems are sold in game, and third-party top-ups exist for Saint Seiya Awakening. The safe shape is a User ID or Game ID delivery; a top-up asking for your login is an account handover, covered in our top-up guide. The market record is on the Saint Seiya Awakening page.
