Gold Ingots are not money. Gold is the everyday progression currency (Mastery, enhancement, refinement, shop purchases); Gold and Platinum Ingots are crafting materials for equipment. Several launch-era guides conflate the two. Also note what is not in this guide: no per-run Gold figure and no SSR draw rate — Netmarble and the major databases have not published either, and sites quoting them are guessing.
The currency stack: Star Memory is the paid currency. Star Fragments are the earnable draw currency — 300 fragments buy one Hero Draw Ticket, regular or Pick Up. Gold funds progression. Around them sit exchange currencies worth knowing: Region Seals (regional chests and quests, spent at Seal Merchants on enhancement materials), Mystic Tokens from raids, Knighthood Coins (donations capped at 30 per week), and Star Trace Fragments and Crystalloids from the draw system itself.
Cube Keys: The Real Stamina
Every boss and dungeon reward chest costs Cube Keys. You start with 30; keys fully recharge every day at 7:00 AM UTC, and unused free charges do not carry over — a day you don’t spend them is a day of rewards deleted. Capacity grows by +5 per 10 Book of Stars levels, up to 55 at Book of Stars 50. Top-ups beyond the daily refill: a free daily shop bundle (Bundles → Growth) containing 20 keys — claim it every day — plus Daily Mission key rewards (5 keys once your mission region reaches Silent Desert or later), shop packs and events.
Spend keys by target material, not at random. GameWith’s mapping: Boss Challenge cubes drop Magic Beads and Tier Up Stones; Field Boss cubes drop Enhancement Stones, Refinement Stones and crafting materials; Elite Enemies are the crafting-material route. Decide which of those your current team actually needs before you open anything.
Farming Gold
GameWith’s ranking of Gold sources puts two at the top. The Gold Dungeon — unlocked at Act 1-63, built around beating the Mimic boss — has the biggest single Gold payout in the game as its boss-clear reward, and it costs a Cube Key like every other chest. Field enemies share the top tier: they drop Gold directly plus crafting items you would otherwise spend keys chasing, so a field route through dense enemy areas is genuinely competitive with dungeon play. Below those: boss clear rewards generally, quests (generous, and they pay while you progress the story anyway), field chests (“a large amount of Gold” per GameWith), Path of the Hero missions, and selling surplus items at shops.
One dungeon deserves a special mention for gold-adjacent value: the Spider Queen’s Nest, where Nightmare difficulty and above can drop Gold Accessories, and whose Gemstone Golem can drop Platinum and Gold Ingots for 5 keys — ingots being the crafting bottleneck for SSR equipment, not spendable Gold.
Farming Star Fragments
Fragments are a scavenger’s currency. Floating Star Fragments in the field pay 20 each — and also 150 Book of Stars EXP each, which makes them the rare farm that levels your account while it pays you. Treasure chests carry fragments too (chests near boss areas run to about 100), plus Region Seals and Gold; opening 60 chests completes the Path of Exploration to stage 10. Boss Challenges pay 300 fragments per first-time clear per difficulty — a one-time ladder worth climbing on every boss. Book of Stars level-ups also grant fragments at milestones.
The shape of the economy: exploration income is front-loaded and finite, so once the field is picked clean, Daily Missions become the main repeatable fragment income, topped up by events. Two hero passives quietly pay for themselves here: Drake’s Treasure Detection and Mannie’s fragment reveal both work from outside the active party. Draw math for planning: a full hard-pity run at a Pick Up banner is 80 draws = 24,000 fragments on the one commercial figure available — treat that pity number as reported, not official, and note there is also a documented 120th Draw Bonus on Pick Up banners.
The Daily & Weekly Loop (Post-2.2)
Version 2.2 (October 8, 2026) rebuilt the daily loop. Daily Mission regions are now random each day rather than player-chosen, regional dailies pay more Cube Keys, and stone rewards were upgraded (Premium stones became Special Enhancement and Special Refinement Stones). The new Recruitment system runs off dailies: every 5 Search Clues earned converts to 1 Recruitment Clue, and 7 Recruitment Clues buy a pick of one SSR from a fixed pool (Mannie, King, Diane, Drake, Guila, Jericho, Elaine, Daisy) — for a free player, that is a guaranteed SSR on a timer, and several pool heroes (Drake, Mannie) are farming passives.
Daily habits that matter: spend every Cube Key before the 7:00 AM UTC reset; claim the free 20-key bundle; gather field materials (nodes like ores and Dandelion Roots have daily gathering limits) and respect merchants’ daily purchase caps. Weekly: the Labyrinth challenge, Starlight Observation rewards (which scale with Book of Stars level) and Knighthood donations up to the 30-coin cap. Events outrank all of it while they run — the 2.2 Update Celebration check-in (October 8 to November 17, 2026) alone pays Special Mastery EXP, Large Cube Key Bundles and Gold options up to 1M.
Buying Star Memory & Accounts
Star Memory is the paid input to this economy, and there is no official web top-up — Netmarble sells it only in-game and in the platform stores, which is exactly what makes third-party “official top-up” claims false. The terms and the traps are in How to Buy Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Star Memory Safely; sellers are compared on the Origin game page.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many Star Fragments is one draw in 7DS Origin?
300 Star Fragments buy one Hero Draw Ticket, for both Regular and Pick Up banners. Star Memory is the paid alternative; fragments are earned from exploration pickups (20 each), chests, Boss Challenge first clears (300 per difficulty), Book of Stars milestones, Daily Missions and events.
Do Cube Keys carry over if I don’t spend them?
No. Free Cube Keys fully recharge at 7:00 AM UTC each day and unused charges are lost. Capacity itself grows — +5 per 10 Book of Stars levels, up to 55 at level 50 — but the daily refill is use-it-or-lose-it, and a free shop bundle adds 20 more keys a day.
What is the best Gold farm in 7DS Origin?
The Gold Dungeon (unlocked at Act 1-63): its Mimic boss-clear reward is the biggest single Gold payout documented by GameWith, at the cost of a Cube Key. Field enemies share the top ranking because they drop Gold and crafting materials together. No source publishes a verified Gold-per-run figure.
What is the SSR rate for Hero Summons?
Netmarble has not published an official rate that the major databases carry, and this guide does not print one. A hard pity at 80 draws (24,000 fragments) is reported by one commercial source; plan around saving for banners you want rather than around a rate nobody has verified.
