Unlike vanilla Minecraft, Emerald Blocks are not crafted from nine emeralds; only the Emerald Merchant converts them.
Early Money: Drops, Chests and Quests
- Mob drops became much more common in update 14.0.1, and the Stealing identification on gear makes mobs drop emeralds when you hit them.
- Loot Chests, the Daily Reward chest, breaking pots and finishing dungeons all pay emeralds.
- Quests are the biggest early source: the wiki puts the high-reward quests at about 64 LE per class if you complete them all.
Selling What You Find
Ingredients sell to other players, World Event items sell well, and finds from Seavale Reef sell to the Treasure Merchant. The wiki puts Seavale Reef diving at about 2 LE per hour, and it needs a Breathing Helmet II.
Endgame Money Makers
- Raids pay emeralds plus Tomes, Powders and other items you can scrap or sell.
- Lootrunning (level 85+ class) is one of the strongest sources: lootrun chests can hold sellable items and runes.
- Professions: crafted items can sell for tens of LE, but you need level 100 professions first, which is a long grind.
- Trade Market flipping: buy low and relist higher. It works, but it needs a large bankroll up front.
A Simple Plan
Do every quest on each class first, keep a Stealing item on while grinding, and sell ingredients instead of hoarding them. Once a class reaches 85, lootrunning and raids take over.
