MapleLegends Server Profile

MapleLegends has run continuously since April 2015, recreating the v0.62 MapleStory client as closely as possible to how Global MapleStory looked around 2008. It's built around a strict no-pay-to-win policy and has grown into one of the largest and most stable MapleStory private servers still active.

Wipe & Reset History

Both MapleLegends and MapleRoyals have faced repeated community requests for a full server wipe over the years (threads asking for one date back to at least 2013 on MapleRoyals). MMODude found no report of either server actually performing one — both appear to be running on their original economies since launch.

Wipe and fresh-server announcements for MapleLegends are posted on maplelegends.com first.

Getting Started on MapleLegends

MapleLegends runs v0.62, Pre-Big Bang (launched April 1, 2015). Joining takes three steps; where maplelegends.com gives different instructions, follow those.

Visit the official site. Go to maplelegends.com to confirm the server is currently active and find the current client or launcher download.

Download the client or launcher. Get the MapleLegends client or launcher from the download linked on maplelegends.com, not from a third-party mirror or an old MapleStory retail install.

Create an account and log in. Make the account on maplelegends.com with a password you use nowhere else. A community-run server does not have an official publisher’s account-recovery or security team behind it.

Is it safe and legal to play on a private server?

MapleLegends is an unofficial MapleStory server running v0.62, Pre-Big Bang, and like most private servers it operates without a license from the game’s publisher. MapleLegends has been running long enough to build a track record; as with any private server, use a unique password and don't reuse account credentials from other sites.

How do I get started on MapleLegends?
