Diablo 4 Season 15 Battle Pass: Is the Season of Hell’s Legacy Pass Worth Buying?

Diablo 4 Season 15, Season of Hell’s Legacy, replaced the old linear pass with Reliquaries — and, unusually, the season’s own Reliquary is available to everyone. The paid question is narrower than in other games: not whether the pass is worth anything, but whether the three Premium Reliquaries and the Deluxe bundle’s instant unlocks are worth Platinum to you. Blizzard has not announced the season’s end date, so there is no deadline pressure in this verdict.

Price

The Deluxe Battle Pass Bundle costs 2,800 Platinum, per Blizzard’s official Season of Hell’s Legacy announcement. Blizzard’s official season page also states the Premium Battle Pass Bundle — access to all Premium Reliquaries — saves 500 Platinum versus buying the reliquaries separately. Individual reliquary prices are shown in game and are not asserted here, because Blizzard’s public season pages do not list them.

The important pricing fact is what money does not buy: Favor. Every item inside a Reliquary, premium or not, is unlocked with Favor earned by playing, and Blizzard’s season page notes Favor carries over from season to season. A bundle buys access, not completion.

What It Contains

The free Season of Hell’s Legacy Reliquary, available to all per Blizzard’s announcement, offers the Eidolon Mount, Eidolon’s Barding mount armor and the Ancient Town Portal; Blizzard’s season page lists the free track as a horse mount, mount armor, three weapons, a Town Portal and 200 Platinum.

The three Premium Reliquaries, per Blizzard’s season page: Armor — unique armor sets tailored to each Diablo IV class, plus a premium Town Portal and weapon cosmetics, and a piece of the Archangel of Justice set on completion; Beasts — a loyal pet, two mounts and mount armors, a weapon and a mount trophy; Weapons — weapon cosmetics. Each Premium Reliquary also holds a bonus item unlocked with Favor.

The Deluxe bundle adds instant access to the full Archangel of Justice armor set for every class, the Wings of Justice, and the Lordling of Terror pet — the only part of the offer that skips the Favor grind, and only for those three items.

What a Free Player Gets

More than in most games’ passes: the Season Reliquary itself, with a mount, mount armor, a Town Portal, three weapons and 200 Platinum, plus the season’s journey, ranks, blessings and endgame content, which are not pass-gated. Blizzard’s announcement frames the season’s Reliquary as “available to all”, and the free track above is that promise in items.

What free players do not get: the Premium Reliquaries’ armor sets, pets, mounts and bonus items, and the Deluxe instant unlocks. If none of those are for your class or your collection, the free track is the whole pass in practice.

Verdict: Is It Worth Buying?

For most players: no purchase needed. The free Reliquary already gives a mount, armor, portal and Platinum, and the season’s content is not locked behind the pass. That is a genuinely good free deal, and it makes the paid tiers a cosmetic choice rather than a progression one.

Buy the Premium bundle if you will finish all three Premium Reliquaries. The 500-Platinum saving versus buying separately only pays off if you actually earn the Favor for all three; a single reliquary bought alone is the cheaper route for a single-class player who only wants the Armor set.

Buy Deluxe only for the instant set. The Archangel of Justice set, Wings and pet are the only items money unlocks outright. If you would rather earn armor through Favor anyway, Deluxe’s premium is paying to skip a grind you were going to enjoy.
