Free Characters
Pro Game Guides lists the free characters: the Protagonist (Phoxhunter), Berenica, Daphne, Rebecca, Margie, Outsider, Truffle and Filbert, and Lisbell. Others come from Covert Commissions, events or a 4,500 Phoxene Plumule purchase.
Unlocking the Rest
- Collect 10 Secret Letter Clues and trade them for that character’s Secret Letter.
- Run their Covert Commissions; Commissions open after your first Geniemon.
- Gather 30 Character Thoughts, then use Reminiscence in the Character menu.
Leveling a First Team
- Focus one main damage dealer at a time, such as Rebecca or Truffle and Filbert, so you can clear higher-level Commissions.
- Level the Protagonist only enough for early stages; they’re more useful later as support.
- Push the main story and major side quests to unlock systems and early Clues.
