Calculator Inputs

Pick a game or enter your own rules. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is saved or sent.

Presets use the standard rules for each game and may be out of date after a patch. Check your game's pity rules in game and edit any field. This calculator shows the guaranteed worst case, so soft pity and lucky pulls can beat it.

How Gacha Pity Works

Most gacha games attach a “pity” system to their top-rarity results. The game keeps a hidden counter of pulls since your last top-rarity item, and once the counter reaches a fixed number — the hard pity — the next pull is guaranteed to be top rarity. Many games also raise the odds gradually in the pulls before that cap, known as soft pity, so players often get the item earlier than the maximum. When you win, the counter resets.

Many games add a second layer, usually called a 50/50: the first time you get a top-rarity character from the limited banner, there is roughly an even chance it is the featured character and an even chance it is a standard one. If you lose the coin flip, the next top-rarity result is guaranteed to be the featured character. Some games drop the 50/50 entirely and guarantee the featured character at hard pity. Rules differ between games and banner types, and they change with updates, so always confirm them in the game itself.

What This Calculator Computes

Because soft pity and luck are unpredictable, the calculator plans around the guaranteed worst case — the number you can budget for without relying on good luck. It works like this:

  • Pulls to next top-rarity = hard pity − your current counter.
  • Worst case = that number, plus one full extra hard pity if the game has a 50/50 and your next top-rarity item is not already guaranteed to be featured.
  • Currency needed = worst-case pulls × cost per pull.
  • Shortfall = currency needed − what you have (pulls in hand × cost, plus loose currency).
  • Days to save = shortfall ÷ your free income per day, rounded up.

A worked example

You play Genshin Impact, where the character banner has a 90-pull hard pity, 160 Primogems per pull and a 50/50. You are at 30 pulls of pity and your last top-rarity result was the featured character, so the next one is not guaranteed. You need 60 pulls to reach hard pity, plus another 90 in the worst case — 150 pulls, or 24,000 Primogems. You hold 20 pulls’ worth of wishes (3,200 Primogems) plus 5,000 loose Primogems, so you have 8,200. The shortfall is 15,800 Primogems, or 99 pulls. If you earn about 100 Primogems a day from free sources, that is roughly 158 days of saving. In practice you would likely get the character sooner thanks to soft pity and luck, but you now know the number that guarantees it.

Using the Numbers to Plan

  • Decide before a banner starts. Compare the worst-case cost with your savings and the banner's remaining time. If you cannot reach it, you can skip that banner calmly instead of half-spending.
  • Save across banners. The shortfall and days-to-save figures help you plan two or three banners ahead, which matters when the character you want appears only occasionally.
  • Keep pity in mind when switching. In most games, pity carries over only within the same banner type, so check before you spend on a different one.

Spending Responsibly

Gacha odds mean outcomes vary widely; spending more does not guarantee any particular result before you reach pity. Set a budget before you start, treat any purchase as spending rather than an investment, and stop if it stops being fun. If you are buying currency, use the game's official store first. Third-party top-up sellers, which we list on some game pages, can be cheaper but carry account and payment risk and may be against a game's terms; read our safety guides before using one.

Limits of the Presets

The presets use each game's standard character-banner rules and a cost of 160 currency per pull unless stated. Developers change pity numbers, add new banner types and adjust guarantees, so a preset can be out of date after a patch. Edit any field to match what your game currently says. The calculator runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is saved or sent.

What Pity Means

Pity is a counter that guarantees a top-rarity result after a fixed number of pulls without one. The counter resets when you win.

50/50 or Not

Many gacha games can give you a standard character the first time. Fan guides report Neverness to Everness has no 50/50 on limited boards, so its featured character is guaranteed at pity.

Why Worst Case

Soft pity and luck usually beat the maximum, but the worst case is the number you can plan a save around without risk.

Gacha Pity Calculator FAQ

How is the worst case calculated?

If your game has a 50/50 and your next 5-star is not already guaranteed, the worst case is finishing your current pity and then a full second pity. Otherwise it is only the pulls left on your current pity.

Are the presets always correct?

They use each game's standard character-banner rules and 160 currency per pull. Games change rules with updates, so confirm in game and edit any field.

Does this include soft pity?

No. Soft pity raises your odds before the hard pity, but it is not a guarantee, so this tool plans around the hard limit.

Does the calculator store my numbers?

No. It runs entirely in your browser and nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
