Flagged Now
Warborne Above Ashes — At risk: content updates ended, servers online. The official Content Update Cessation Announcement, in a letter dated June 5, 2026, states that the game “will cease all further content updates” and that “the servers will remain online, and all existing content will continue to be fully available to play.” No server closure date is given anywhere in the announcement.
What that means for buyers: the game is playable and its market still exists — Warborne lists 1 verified seller on its MMODude page — but nothing new is coming to spend on, and any long-term purchase (accounts, large currency stockpiles) carries the risk that the servers eventually close without a date ever being announced. Keep orders small and short-term.
The Bar for a Flag
A game gets a Sunset Watch flag only with an official source: a publisher announcement, a dated letter, or an official notice stating that updates have ended or will end. Quiet periods, rumours, falling player counts and content droughts are not enough, and no closure date is ever invented for a game whose publisher has not given one.
That bar is why this page has one entry. If a publisher announces another cessation, that game joins this page with its announcement quoted and dated, and its game page gains the same flag.
Already Closed
Games whose servers have already shut down are not flagged here — they are archived on our Closed Games archive, which links the site’s existing shutdown warning pages. Sunset Watch is for the games still running.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Warborne Above Ashes shutting down?
Its content updates have ended; its servers have not. The official June 5, 2026 letter says servers will remain online and all existing content will continue to be fully available to play, and gives no closure date.
Why is only one game flagged?
Because a flag requires an official announcement. No other game MMODude tracks has a publisher announcement ending content updates while servers stay online.
What should I do before buying for a flagged game?
Keep orders small and short-term. Do not stockpile currency or buy accounts for a game with no new content coming, since a future closure would end their value without warning.
