What the Terms Say
As flagged in the badge: no terms clause naming account or item sales for the original SMITE was verified in the material checked for this guide, and none is quoted. The publisher fact that governs this market’s value is a status, not a clause: maintenance mode.
Hi-Rez’s February 2025 statement, confirmed by its president to press, is that SMITE 1, Paladins and Rogue Company servers “will remain available for the foreseeable future, but no further major updates are currently planned”, with SMITE 2 as the studio’s primary focus and only minor updates for the original. An account’s value is therefore a fixed collection’s value — God Pack access and a skin library in a game that will not add to itself — and any listing priced on future content is priced on something the publisher has said is not coming.
The Official Routes
Officially, the original SMITE account is the one you built: gods, God Pack access and skins sit on it permanently, and the servers remain live for play. The verified outside market is PlayerAuctions, in two categories. Accounts: 2 offers at our fresh check, under PlayerGuardian escrow, with listings pitching God Pack access and deep skin collections including T5 and limited skins — and a volatility warning in the data itself, since crawls of this category in a single pass showed 0, 2, 8, 10, 11, 60 and 69 offers. Items: 10 offers at $5.00 to $5.99, gem bundles and Twitch-drop packs (Viewer Point bundles and chests) with a 20-minute delivery guarantee on the listings shown. A claimed IGVault accounts leg could not be surfaced in this pass and is not presented as a vendor.
What Can Go Wrong
- A volatile shelf prices badly. A category that swings from 0 to 69 offers between crawls has no stable market price. Two offers at check means the two sellers set the price; the same account could list into a 60-offer shelf next month and be worth half.
- Cross-posting between SMITE and SMITE 2 is documented. An older crawl of this legacy items category showed listings explicitly titled for SMITE 2 inside it. Read every listing’s game twice: an original-SMITE account and a SMITE 2 account are different goods on different games.
- The collection is the value, and it is checkable. God Pack access, T5 and limited skins (the category’s own filters name Limited Skins, T5 Skins and Archon Thanatos) are visible in game and in the account’s god/skin screens. Verify before escrow releases.
- Maintenance mode caps the future. No major updates are planned. The account will play as it plays today, on live servers — buy it for exactly that, at a maintenance-game price.
Red Flags to Avoid
- Any listing that does not make unmistakably clear whether it is the original SMITE or SMITE 2.
- Prices justified by upcoming content, a revival or a merger with SMITE 2 — the publisher’s statement says no further major updates are planned.
- Skin counts (a listing shorthand like “SKINS:1562” appears in the category’s reviews) that the seller will not verify in game.
- Treating a crawl’s offer count as the shelf — counts here have swung from 0 to 69; only the live page counts.
- Deals moved off PlayerAuctions’ escrow.
Buying Checklist
- Confirm the game on the category and the listing: original SMITE — SMITE 2 has its own page and market.
- Check the live shelf count when you buy (2 account offers, 10 item offers at our check) and price against the shelf as it stands that day.
- Verify in game before escrow releases: God Pack access, the limited and T5 skin collection, and any gem or Viewer Point stock claimed.
- Take the full credential transfer at handover and change passwords the same day.
- For items, confirm the bundle contents (gem bundles, Twitch-drop/Viewer Point packs and chests) match the listing before the 20-minute delivery window closes the order.
The Safe Alternatives
The original SMITE remains fully playable on its live servers, and a collection built there is yours without a transfer — the earning side is in our farming guide and progression in the leveling guide. If you came for the living game in the series, that is SMITE 2, covered on its own page. If you buy an original account regardless, escrow and in-game verification are the whole safety net — use both.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this guide about SMITE or SMITE 2?
The original SMITE — the 2014 game — only. SMITE 2 is a different game with its own page and market, and PlayerAuctions keeps separate categories for the two. Sellers have cross-posted SMITE 2 listings inside the legacy category before, so check the game named on every listing.
How many original SMITE accounts are for sale?
PlayerAuctions listed just 2 account offers at our fresh October 2026 check, under PlayerGuardian escrow — and the shelf is volatile: crawls of the same category have shown 0, 2, 8, 10, 11, 60 and 69 offers. Only the live page’s count means anything.
What are original SMITE accounts priced on?
God Pack access and the skin collection — the category’s own filters name Limited Skins and T5 Skins, and listings pitch deep collections including T5 and limited skins. Verify the collection in game before escrow releases.
Is the original SMITE still supported?
Its servers remain available, but Hi-Rez stated in February 2025 that no further major updates are currently planned for SMITE 1, with SMITE 2 as the studio’s primary focus. There is no dated patch series to anchor a Patch Watch — buy for the game as it stands.
What SMITE items are sold?
PlayerAuctions listed 10 item offers at $5.00 to $5.99 at our check — gem bundles and Twitch-drop packs (Viewer Point bundles and chests) with a 20-minute delivery guarantee on the listings shown.
