Galactic Moon Festival Patch

The October 2026 Galactic Moon Festival is live per SWG Legends’ official Development Update (October 9, 2026): the Dead Forest ghosts have new riddles, the Ponda Baba Arm Collection returns with a Blood Moon Painting, and the Dead Tree Ghost Raid drops new Spooky Painting Styles XXIX–XXXII plus a 2026 badge and title sold by Z’ozpheratu for 900 Halloween tokens.
All five Heroics — Axkva Min, Exar Kun, IG-88, Lost Star Destroyer and Tusken Army — received spooky festival variants, with previous years’ Spooky Loot returning in their loot boxes and new loot and music added to IG-88 and the Lost Star Destroyer, per the official notes.
The patch also brings client and engine upgrades: an optional Classic (Pre-CU-style) toolbar and chat UI, enhanced multi-select with mass vendor and bazaar listing, rotatable and resizable side toolbars, and adjusted footprints for 54 player-city structures.
Several Senate Resolutions were implemented, including jetpack customization — the Merr-Sonn JT-12 and Z-6 jetpacks are now hueable — alongside a large batch of bug fixes covering buff loss on death, Recalibration resetting cyborg cooldowns and bazaar UI text sizing.

The Galactic Moon Festival is a limited-time event, so the 2026 badge, title and Spooky Painting drops are only earnable while it runs — characters already holding them carry event exclusives that cannot be re-earned until the festival returns, and the mass vendor/bazaar listing upgrade changes how stocked vendors are managed day to day.

SWG Legends recreates the post-2005 New Game Enhancements version of Star Wars Galaxies — the streamlined class-based era that ran until Sony Online Entertainment shut the game down in 2011. It's the server to pick if your SWG memories are from Jedi, Bounty Hunter, and Smuggler classes rather than the earlier skill-based system.

Wipe & Reset History

Per the project’s own admin interview, SWG Legends (originally Reborn) was almost completely wiped about three months into its original run after a falling-out among the small founding team. It has run without a full wipe since stabilizing; a 2016-era incident rolled back roughly 36 hours on its Omega server rather than wiping it.

SWG Legends runs NGE (New Game Enhancements) (launched January 2016). Joining takes three steps; where swglegends.com gives different instructions, follow those.

Visit the official site. Go to swglegends.com to confirm the server is currently active and find the current client or launcher download.

Download the client or launcher. Get the SWG Legends client or launcher from the download linked on swglegends.com, not from a third-party mirror or an old Star Wars Galaxies retail install.

Create an account and log in. Make the account on swglegends.com with a password you use nowhere else. A community-run server does not have an official publisher’s account-recovery or security team behind it.
