Wipe & Reset History

Warmane has run continuously since the Molten-WoW era without an official studio-wide wipe. Individual realms have occasionally been retired and merged into others (for example, Frostmourne characters were transferred into Icecrown) rather than the whole project being reset.

Frostmourne, Warmane's separate seasonal realm, resets roughly every 12 months — when a season ends, players get a limited window to transfer eligible characters to Icecrown before the old season's characters are gone for good.
