Read This First: Mastery Is the Progression
There is no leveling product worth buying for this game. The only boosting in the verified market is Account Training — a PowerLeveler on your login, per PlayerAuctions’ own copy — flagged in our buying guide. A piloted rank is a borrowed record on your own account, and it decays the moment you play at it yourself. The climb below is the durable version: heroes learned, rank earned.
The account market’s pricing language is the guide’s outline, as in our farming guide: rosters and ranked history are what accounts are worth. Leveling is building both, in the order that makes each climb feed the other — a wider, deeper hero pool makes ranked climbing possible; ranked play makes hero mastery real.
Hero Mastery: Depth Across Roles
Level heroes the way drafts demand: across roles, not within one. A player whose pool covers every role at a competent level climbs faster than a deeper specialist, because ranked drafts punish the stranded pick — the game’s 91-hero roster (Xal’atath the newest) is a breadth test before it is a depth test. Build a working pool per role first, then take favourites deeper.
New heroes reset the learning race for everyone at once, which makes a launch window the best leveling window there is: Xal’atath’s kit and talents (published in full in the Patch 57 notes) are new to every opponent you will face. Learning a new hero in their first weeks — and learning to play against them — is progression the whole ladder is doing simultaneously, and the players who do it early climb on it.
Ranked: The Long Track
Ranked history is the account’s earned record — the fetched account reviews name NA accounts at Gold 5, Platinum 5 and Silver 3, which is how this game’s community actually describes a leveled account: by its league. Climb it as a record, not a sprint: consistent play on your mastered pool, in the role your team needs, across a season’s full length. League movement in a team game is a statistics game — your edge appears over dozens of matches, not five — and the players who treat it that way tilt less, learn more and finish higher.
The post-maintenance context helps the climber: balance and bugfix patches resumed on a roughly monthly rhythm from September 2023, and Patch 57’s hero has re-filled the queues. More players, shorter queues, fresher meta — a ranked climb started now is started in the healthiest conditions this game has offered in years, with the honest caveat that one patch does not yet prove the cadence continues.
A Sensible Leveling Order
- Build a playable pool in every role before deepening any single hero — drafts reward breadth first.
- Learn each new hero on their launch window (Xal’atath, Patch 57) — the whole ladder is learning them simultaneously.
- Climb ranked as a season-long record on your mastered pool; judge progress over dozens of matches, not sessions.
- Read the patch notes at each version — balance patches on the current rhythm move the meta your pool must answer.
- Never hand your login to a booster: Account Training is the product, and a piloted rank decays on contact with your own play.
Buying Leveling & Accounts
Leveling by another hand is LOGIN-delivery boosting, and accounts are thin (2 offers at our check) — both are covered, with the flags and checklists, in our buying guide. The climb in this guide is the alternative that keeps: your heroes, your rank, your account. See the Heroes of the Storm page.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you level up in Heroes of the Storm?
By mastery: level and learn heroes across every role (breadth first, so drafts never strand you), and climb the ranked ladder as a season-long record on that pool. Patch 57’s new hero is the current learning race — start it with everyone else.
What is new in Patch 57?
Xal’atath, Harbinger of the Void — the 91st hero and the first new hero since Hogger (December 2020) — shipped in Patch 57 / v2.57.0 on September 28, 2026, announced at BlizzCon 2026, in what is reported as the game’s exit from the maintenance mode it entered in July 2022.
Can you buy a HotS rank boost?
The product exists on PlayerAuctions, and its documented delivery is Account Training — you provide your login details to a PowerLeveler. It is flagged as LOGIN delivery in our buying guide; a piloted rank also decays as soon as you play at it yourself.
How are HotS accounts described by players?
By roster and rank: the verified account reviews name ranked NA accounts (Gold 5, Platinum 5, Silver 3) and pitch hero and skin collections — the two accumulations this guide builds.
