Milestones for Free Players
The site’s author recommends free players push straight to HQ 17 to unlock Tier 6 soldiers, then save resources and upgrade in jumps: 17, 20, 24, 27. Saving between jumps means each upgrade lands at once instead of stalling halfway.

What Speeds It Up

What Each HQ Level Needs
From HQ 8 onward, every level needs the Tech Center one level below the target, plus one rotating building: Alliance Center, Tank/Air/Missile Center, Hospital, Wall, Barracks or Drill Ground, according to Heaven Guardian’s October 2026 table. For example, HQ 17 needs Tech Center 16 and Tank/Air/Missile Center 16, and HQ 27 needs Tech Center 26 and Wall 26. Check two levels ahead so a prerequisite doesn’t stall you.
Past HQ 30: the Age of Oil
Coin is needed from HQ 9, and Oil from HQ 31. Oil arrives with the Age of Oil, which needs Tech Center 30 and at least 40% of the Special Forces research; older guides that say 80% are out of date. HQ 31 to 35 also needs the HQ Expansion research and raises the hero level cap from 155 to 175. HQ 35 is the highest level with verified requirements.
