AION 2 Is Live Worldwide: What the Trade Lock and $15 Membership Mean for Kinah Buyers

The launch

AION 2 opened to everyone on October 5, 2026, after a Founder’s Pack early access that ran from September 30 to October 4. According to Inven Global, early access topped Steam’s global top-sellers chart in more than ten regions. On the first evening, busy European servers had queues of roughly 1,500 to 3,500 players, and NC opened four extra servers (Yustiel, Marchutan, Ariel and Azphel) the same night. There is no Oceania server at launch. The Korean and Taiwanese services have been live since November 19, 2025 and are region-locked.

How trading works on the global servers

NC turned off direct player-to-player trading on September 19, during the run-up to launch, as an anti-bot measure. Items now change hands only through the in-game Market. Under the business model NC announced in July, selling on the Market and using the Kinah–Quna exchange both require the optional $15-a-month Membership. The game is otherwise free-to-play with a cosmetic shop; Founder’s Packs cost $24.99, $49.99 or $99.99 and contain cosmetics and early-game consumables with no stat advantages.

Coming up

Accounts created by December 2 that log in by December 9, 2026 get two free mounts, the Pagati bird and a mount of your choice. NC has confirmed a console version but has not given a date.

What it means for buyers

With no direct trades, an outside seller has few ways to hand over Kinah: usually a Market listing you overpay for, or selling you a whole account. Both are easier for NC to spot than a quiet trade, and NC’s terms prohibit real-money trading. Ask any seller which delivery method they use before you pay, and walk away from anyone who wants your login just to deliver Kinah.
