- Patch Notes Oct. 20 PDT / Oct. 21 CEST, per the aggregator reproducing the official NCSOFT Steam notice: Hard mode for Krao Cave and Draupnir (ilvl 2600).
- New Ariel Daevanion board, larger Abyss capacity and class fixes, per the same notice; the Oct 14 Halloween patch also landed.
Seven ban waves from October 10 to 23 removed 70,643 accounts in total (the sum of the per-round official counts, not unique accounts). Server transfers opened October 14 (early-access servers) and October 21 (launch servers); the launch transfer window ended with October 27 maintenance.

How Trading Works in AION 2

With direct trades off, Kinah can only move through Market purchases, or as part of a whole account.
Whatever the method, a seller never needs your password or a 2FA code to deliver currency. Anyone who asks for them is asking for your account.
AION 2 Global Launch: Live Now
AION 2 went live on October 5, 2026, on PC through Steam and NC’s PURPLE launcher, after Founder’s Pack early access. Below: sellers checked for the global servers (NA, EU and others) plus the Korean and Taiwanese listings, live since November 19, 2025 and region-locked. Check the server on each entry before you order. See the launch news.
Trading works differently on the global servers: NC disabled direct player-to-player trades on September 19 as an anti-bot measure, so the in-game Market is the only way to move items, and selling there requires the $15-a-month Membership. That limits how any outside seller can deliver, so ask how delivery works before you pay — NC’s terms prohibit real-money trading.

AION 2 Launch News & Timeline
What has happened around the global launch, newest first, plus what is still to come. Last updated October 29, 2026.
Server transfers opened
Character transfers opened on October 14 for the early-access servers and on October 21 for the launch servers, MMOHuts reports. The launch transfer window ended with October 27 maintenance.
Free mounts and pets for new players
Two separate campaigns — do not mix them. The global-site launch celebration gives two free mounts to accounts created by December 2 that claim the mail by December 9, 2026 (the mount names are not published in the English notice). Separately, the Steam launch rewards give the Pagati pet, one pet of your choice (Papis, Silver Blade Rotan, Konutin Worker or Black Smoke Murute) and a Wishlist Chest of consumables to players who create an account and log in before December 1 at 11:30 p.m. PST / December 2 at 9:30 a.m. CET; that mail expires December 8 at 11:30 p.m. PST / December 9 at 9:30 a.m. CET.
Console version
NC has confirmed a console release after the PC launch. No date has been announced.
Daeva Pass: Prelude to Flight New
Daeva Pass: Prelude to Flight runs October 28 to December 2, announced for after the October 28 maintenance: free Basic track, 1,000 Quna Premium, 50 levels.
Odyle Energy warm-up doubled New
Odyle Energy mail is doubled to 4 per day (up from 2) from October 28 to November 10, announced for after the October 28 maintenance; each mail expires 7 days after arrival.
Weekly maintenance, transfer window ends
Weekly maintenance on October 27 ends the launch transfer window. The October 28 maintenance contents were published, but completion was not yet confirmed at last check, so no October 28 patch entry is tracked yet.
Transfers held, then resumed at a higher level
Server transfers were held and then reported to have resumed on October 26, with the minimum level requirement raised from 10 to 45. The resume date is secondary-sourced.
Daily-reset issue under investigation
A daily-reset issue is under investigation. No fix notice has been published yet.
EU clock-change maintenance
Maintenance for the European clock change ran on October 24 (PDT).
Seventh ban wave; Ludra returns November 4
NCSOFT banned 12,586 accounts in the seventh ban wave. Separately, Ludra returns on November 4 (Normal item level 2,800, Hard 3,000), with check-in rewards and Twitch Drops running November 4–17.
Weekly patch: Hard Krao Cave and Draupnir
The weekly patch adds Hard mode for Krao Cave and Draupnir at item level 2,600, and the “Rise to the Challenge” event runs to December 16 (CET).
Sixth ban wave: 15,380 accounts
NCSOFT banned 15,380 accounts for gold farming, bots, illegal macros and real-money trading.
Fifth ban wave: 10,326 accounts
NCSOFT banned 10,326 accounts for gold farming, bots, illegal macros and real-money trading.
Fourth ban wave: 7,933 accounts
NCSOFT banned 7,933 accounts for gold farming, bots, illegal macros and real-money trading.
Third ban wave, Halloween event, Steam payments fixed
NCSOFT banned 9,422 accounts. The weekly patch adds the Halloween “Trick or Treat” event, raises the Odyle daily cap from 4 to 20, and restricts gathering materials on the Market. A Steam payment issue was resolved the same day.
Second ban wave: 10,000 accounts
NCSOFT banned 10,000 accounts for gold farming, bots, illegal macros and real-money trading.
4,996 accounts permanently banned
NCSOFT’s first global ban wave hit accounts for gold farming, bots, illegal macros and real-money trading. A smaller group got temporary security locks after suspicious logins, which support can clear.
More servers, and an EU outage
New EU servers Nathara and Tassin opened on October 8 and NA East servers Hithanya and Nemon on October 9, with new characters steered to them. An October 8 cloud outage hit 21 EU servers; affected players get a day of Membership and a supply chest.
Past 400,000 on Steam
NCSOFT celebrated 300K and 400K Steam milestones with free bundles and kept opening servers. Steam reviews sat at “Mixed”, with praise for visuals and complaints about monetization and trading limits, Massively OP reported.
AION 2 launches worldwide
The free-to-play global launch opened to everyone on Steam and PURPLE, with servers for North America, South America, Europe and Japan. Early-access and launch servers share cross-play queues. There is no Oceania server at launch.
Founder's Pack early access
Early access topped Steam's global top-sellers chart in more than ten regions, according to Inven Global. On the first evening, busy European servers had queues of roughly 1,500 to 3,500 players, and NC opened extra servers (Yustiel, Marchutan, Ariel and Azphel) the same night.
Direct player trades disabled
NC turned off direct player-to-player trading as an anti-bot measure. The in-game Market stays as the central place to trade between players.
Launch Scale Test
A free, open stress test of the global servers ran ahead of early access.
Business model announced
NC confirmed AION 2 as free-to-play with an optional $15-a-month Membership that unlocks selling on the Market and the Kinah–Quna exchange. Founder's Packs cost $24.99, $49.99 or $99.99 and contain cosmetics and early-game consumables, with no stat advantages.
Korea and Taiwan launch
AION 2 launched first in Korea and Taiwan. Those services are region-locked; the sellers below now cover the global servers too, so check the region on each offer.

When did AION 2 launch globally?
AION 2 launched globally on October 5, 2026, free-to-play on PC through Steam and NC's PURPLE launcher. Founder's Pack owners had early access from September 30 to October 4.
Can I buy global-server AION 2 Kinah or accounts now?
Yes. As of our October 13 check, G2G, IGGM, AOEAH, PlayerAuctions, Eldorado and ExpCarry list Kinah for the global servers (NA, EU and others), and AccountShark and PlayerAuctions list global accounts. Because direct player trades are disabled, Kinah is usually delivered through the Auction House: IGGM, for example, asks you to list a piece of equipment at an agreed price and buys it. Check the region on every offer, and remember that NC's terms prohibit real-money trading.
Can you trade directly with other players in AION 2?
Not on the global servers. NC disabled direct player-to-player trades on September 19, 2026 as an anti-bot measure. Trading goes through the in-game Market, and selling there requires the $15-a-month Membership, according to NC's business model notice.
Is AION 2 free to play?
Yes. AION 2 is free-to-play with a cosmetic cash shop and an optional $15-a-month Membership. Founder's Packs at $24.99, $49.99 and $99.99 added cosmetics and early-game consumables with no stat advantages.
Are the listed vendors for the global servers or for Korea and Taiwan?
Both, depending on the seller. Most entries now cover the global servers; some, like the original Korean and Taiwanese listings on G2G, are region-specific, and Eldorado showed only EU offers on our check. Check the server and region on any listing before you order. Global AION 2 is a separate service, so a Korean or Taiwanese character cannot be moved to it.
