    RDC 2026 & The Hunt: Roblox 20

    • Moments, the watch-to-play video tab, is now fully available in the US; avatar items shown in a clip become tappable to buy during October, and videos from game pages start appearing in the feed. Discovery ranking now optimises separately for younger and older players over 28 days or more.
    • Build, the prompt-to-game tool in public alpha, expanded to Serbia and Singapore with a new asset library and desktop access; about 9,000 games have been published through it, most by first-time Studio users.
    • The Hunt: Roblox 20, the 20th-anniversary event, followed on September 17 (ran to September 28): a Hub unlocking 20 years of Roblox history in order, one portal and top game per year, each rewarding themed UGC; a 20th Classic Mode theme restored the classic logo, colours and font.
    For buyers

    Discovery and Moments decide where Robux gets spent: tappable items in video and age-aware ranking favour established games players return to, so UGC and item demand follows what those surfaces push, not just visit counts.

  2. Account update

    Roblox Kids & Roblox Select

    • Two new age-based account types rolled out globally: Roblox Kids (ages 5-8, Minimal/Mild games only, chat off by default) and Roblox Select (ages 9-15, up to Moderate), with standard accounts for 16+.
    • Chat now requires an age check, and parental controls (game approval, spend and screen-time limits) extend through age 15.

  3. Subscription launch

    Roblox Plus

    • New $4.99/month subscription: 10% off in-game and avatar items (20% from the third consecutive month, with Roblox covering the discount), free private servers and fee-free direct Robux transfers.
    • Premium closed to new sign-ups the same day; existing members kept their stipend and trading.
