What the Rules Say
Roblox’s own player-trading guidance (the help page linked from this site’s Steal a Brainrot coverage) makes the platform’s position plain: trades are meant to happen through Roblox’s features, items bought or sold for real money outside them are against the platform’s rules, and Roblox cannot undo a deal it was not part of. Nothing in either verified seller’s flow changes that — Eldorado and IGGM both deliver inside the game, which settles how you receive a pet, not whether the purchase is sanctioned.
The practical consequence is about recourse, not mechanics: use a marketplace with its own buyer protection (Eldorado’s TradeShield, an order system with records), because the platform will not arbitrate a private deal gone wrong.
The Official Routes
Inside Roblox, pets are earned: steal eggs from guarded biome nests, hatch them, and let their income per second fund the next biome — the route our pets farming guide covers. The verified outside routes are these. Eldorado (4.1/5 on MMODude) runs the pet marketplace under TradeShield — thousands of offers on the page’s own count, from Secret pets earning millions per second to Cosmic and Divine pets earning billions — and a separate services market (Random Eggs; Treadmill Service) where providers bid on your request. IGGM (4.5/5) sells pets and items as a direct shop at $0.49 to $23.99, InStock at our check, most orders delivered in about 15 minutes on Character Name only. Its roster names the top earners with their rates — Shattered Colossus $3.5B/s, Nightflame $3B/s, Kitsune $1.8B/s, Unicorn $1B/s — which is the honest way to price a pet.
What Can Go Wrong
- The wrong game. Steal an Egg and Steal a Brainrot are different games; marketplace search mixes them, and sellers cross-post. A listing that does not name Steal an Egg plainly is not a Steal an Egg listing, whatever its pictures show.
- Rarity-colour pricing. A pet’s value is its $/sec, and rarity misleads: a lower-rarity pet from a deep biome out-earns a golden one from an early biome. A seller pricing by colour rather than income is pricing the picture.
- The weight and biome context. A top pet assumes the pen and speed to use it: Divine earners come from biomes gated at hundreds of millions of speed. The pet works in your pen regardless — income is income — but size the purchase to your actual ladder position, not the trailer.
- Services are performance, not delivery. Eldorado’s Random Eggs and Treadmill Service are done in game alongside you by a provider you pick from bids. Vet the provider’s record as you would a seller; the service is only as good as the person performing it.
Red Flags to Avoid
- Listings that blur Steal an Egg with Steal a Brainrot, or show Brainrot stock on an Egg listing.
- Any seller who asks for your Roblox password — both verified flows need your Character Name only.
- Pets priced by rarity colour with no income figure named.
- “Duplicated” or generator-made pets at a fraction of the shelf price.
- Deals moved into chat and paid outside the marketplace’s order system — TradeShield only protects orders inside it.
Buying Checklist
- Confirm the game twice: the listing, the category and the seller’s other stock should all say Steal an Egg — not Brainrot.
- Price by income per second: benchmark the named pet’s rate against IGGM’s roster (top end $3.5B/s) and its $0.49 to $23.99 shelf, and Eldorado’s live offers.
- Give your Character Name exactly as it appears in game; delivery is a handover to that character, in game.
- For services, pick the provider by completed-order record, agree the target (zone milestone, egg count) in the order thread, and confirm in game before closing.
- Keep payment inside the marketplace order system and keep the records.
The Safe Alternatives
The free route is the game itself, and it compounds: hatch from the deepest biome your speed survives, replace weak earners, and let the payroll buy the treadmill tiers — our pets farming guide and progression guide run the numbers. Buying makes sense for a named earner that skips a biome’s grind; it makes none for a pen of mid pets you would replace within the week. See the Steal an Egg page for the reviewed vendors.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are Steal an Egg pets delivered?
In game, on your Character Name. Eldorado opens a chat window with the seller after payment and the pet is handed over in game; IGGM asks for your Character Name at checkout and delivers most orders in about 15 minutes. No verified flow involves your Roblox password.
Is Steal an Egg the same as Steal a Brainrot?
No — different Roblox games, different pets, different pages on this site. Sellers cross-post between the two markets constantly; a listing that does not name Steal an Egg plainly should be treated as the other game’s stock.
How much do Steal an Egg pets cost?
IGGM’s direct shop ran $0.49 to $23.99 at our check, and Eldorado’s marketplace carries the deeper shelf under TradeShield (its offer shelf is script-rendered, so no per-offer prices are quoted for it here). Price any pet by its income per second — the top verified earners run to billions per second — not by its rarity colour.
What is the Steal an Egg Treadmill Service?
An in-game service sold through Eldorado’s services market: a provider gets your speed up to the latest zone’s milestone in hours or minutes instead of days of grinding, performed in game alongside you. Its sibling service, Random Eggs, has a provider farm endgame-zone eggs and drop them at your feet to hatch.
