Habbo Credits and Furni: What Sulake Says

Habbo has a long history of real-money trading, and much of its audience is young. Sulake's help pages are direct: credits can be bought only through official methods, and buying or selling accounts or furni for cash is prohibited. If you are a parent or guardian, this page is written with you in mind too.

How credits and furni work

Habbo Credits are bought from Sulake and are spent on furni, games and other items. Habbo's Terms of Sale say credits have no monetary value, are non-refundable and can be used only for in-game play, that you have no property interest in credits or virtual items, and that any attempt to sell or transfer them terminates the license. Our Habbo credits guide explains how players earn credits legitimately.

What Habbo's help pages say

Habbo's ban information lists selling or buying a Habbo account or furni for cash as a prohibited activity; official collectibles marketplaces are the exception for Habbo Collectibles. Sulake states that the only legitimate payment methods to buy credits are those listed on its site and in the in-game shop, and that players who attempt to sell or transfer accounts, sell furni for cash or own a retro hotel face sanctions that are mostly permanent bans. Sulake also says it limits and charges for features that transfer credits, in part to discourage black-market credit sellers from moving illicit credits.

Why third-party credits are risky

Players have reported bans and even demands for payment after buying discounted credits or furni from outside sites, on the basis that such sites used stolen credit cards. Habbo staff can also remove goods obtained this way. These are individual reports, but they fit the pattern Sulake describes.

Practical risks

• Permanent bans. Most sanctions in this category are permanent.
• Stolen-card credits. Discounted credits are often bought with stolen cards and later reversed.
• Scams and safety. Off-platform deals give young players no protection.

For parents and guardians

Use the official shop, keep payment methods away from a child's device, and talk about why outside sellers and account trades are unsafe.

If you decide to buy from a third party

We cannot make a purchase compliant with Habbo's rules, and given the audience we advise against it. If you go ahead, never share your login, use a payment with dispute rights and read our Habbo buying guide and safety guides. Our NikGTBM review describes a specialist trader with its caveats.
