Octopath Traveler: CotC (SEA) Rubies & Top-Ups
Compare reviewed Ruby top-ups for Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent as it runs in Southeast Asia — the service operated by NetEase since its December 7, 2023 SEA launch, still live and updated, with a content maintenance on October 1, 2026. Edition care is this page’s whole frame, so it is stated first: Square Enix transferred the game’s global publishing to NetEase in January 2025, no edition of this game has an end-of-service announced, and the top-up wired here is the one whose product names the SEA edition outright. One wire was verified. A second shop sells a CotC top-up whose edition could not be confirmed, and it is not listed — the reason is in the section below. Read the buying guide first.

Trading rules, season dates and the latest patch for Octopath Traveler: CotC (SEA), from the publisher’s own statements.
Fallen Swordsman — Champion of Memories
- The Server Maintenance Notice for October 1, 2026 (07:00–09:30 UTC), posted September 29 on the official SEA site, added a new 6-star Warrior Champion of Memories — the Fallen Swordsman — with a paid STEP UP Guide whose fifth step guarantees a 5-star-or-better traveler at a 50% rate for him.
- The same maintenance added the Side Task “The Unchosen One – Prologue”, the Dreadwrought Domain (Cliffside Kingdom), Cascade Log updates, and Blessing of the Lantern adjustments for EX Millard and EX Lumis.
- The SEA service’s notices carry no version number — the maintenance date is the identifier. The cadence through August 2026 ran at roughly weekly notices (August 6, 13, 20, 27); no notice dated after October 1 had been published at our October 21 check.
A paid STEP UP with a printed guarantee reprices reroll and starter accounts for as long as the banner runs: a roster one guaranteed step from the Fallen Swordsman is worth less than the same roster after he lands. And the edition rule decides every Ruby purchase first — only the top-up whose product names this SEA service is listed on the game page.

Octopath Traveler: CotC (SEA) Rubies — Top-Ups
1 VENDORRubies are the summoning balance, credited to your own account by top-up; nothing trades between players. SEAGM is the verified wire, and its product is unambiguous in a way this page values: the product is named “OCTOPATH TRAVELER: CotC SEA Top Up”, its delivery is Player ID-only in the page’s own words — “Simply enter your Octopath Traveler: CotC Player ID, select the amount of Rubies you want to purchase, complete the payment, and the Rubies will be added to your account shortly” — and it is rated 5.00/5 across 20 ratings, its ladder reading 3.92 to 237.52 MYR in the storefront checked. No password is part of that flow. And the exclusion, stated plainly: Joytify’s Malaysia store also lists a CotC top-up, InStock at 3.76 to 258.26 MYR — but its page nowhere establishes that it serves the SEA edition (there is no SEA or NetEase mention on it, and its own About text describes the game’s Japanese and Western history), and its checkout asks for “account details” rather than a Player ID. A top-up that cannot be confirmed to credit this edition is not listed here; if you use it anyway, confirm the edition and the exact field with its support before paying, because Rubies credited to the wrong service are Rubies lost.

All MMO news →Frequently Asked Questions
How are Octopath Traveler: CotC (SEA) Rubies delivered?
By Player ID, at the one verified vendor. SEAGM’s SEA top-up page states the flow in its own words: enter your Player ID, select the amount of Rubies, complete payment, and the Rubies are added to your account shortly. No password or account login is part of it — and double-check the ID before paying, because a top-up credited to the wrong account cannot be pulled back.
Is the SEA edition of CotC still running?
Yes — live and updated. The SEA service, operated by NetEase since December 7, 2023, ran a content maintenance on October 1, 2026 adding the 6-star Warrior Champion of Memories, the Fallen Swordsman. And the wider edition question, answered plainly because old headlines confuse it: Square Enix transferred the game’s global publishing to NetEase in January 2025 — a handover, not a shutdown. No edition of CotC has an end-of-service announced.
Why is only one top-up listed for CotC (SEA)?
Because only one could be verified as this edition’s. A second shop’s CotC top-up is live and InStock, but its product page never establishes the SEA edition — no SEA or NetEase mention, and an About text describing the Japanese and Western releases — and its checkout asks for “account details” rather than a Player ID. Until its edition can be confirmed, it is not listed; SEAGM’s product names the SEA edition outright and delivers by Player ID.
What is the latest CotC (SEA) update?
The October 1, 2026 maintenance, announced on the official SEA site: it added the 6-star Warrior Champion of Memories — the Fallen Swordsman — with a paid STEP UP guide whose fifth step guarantees a 5-star-or-better traveler at a 50% rate for him, the Side Task “The Unchosen One – Prologue”, the Dreadwrought Domain, and Blessing of the Lantern adjustments for EX Millard and EX Lumis. The SEA site’s dated maintenance notices are the feed this page’s Patch Watch entry tracks.
