When did Star Conflict shut down?
October 9, 2026, at 10:00 GMT — one day earlier than the October 10 date in the original announcement, moved up so the Community Edition could be released sooner. The official forum closed on October 8. New registrations had already been disabled on May 14, 2026, and in-game monetization switched off on June 1.
Can I still play Star Conflict?
Yes, through the free Community Edition on Steam: after the shutdown, Star Gem released the client and server software so players can run their own servers, with modes, matchmaking, chat, corporations, achievements, tournaments and the economy — though some features and modes may differ from the official service.
Why did it close?
The official announcement cited technical limitations, rising infrastructure costs and a declining active player base, after 14 years that began with an open beta on July 24, 2012 and a Steam release in February 2013.
How big was Star Conflict over its lifetime?
The farewell letter counts 5,294 days since the first closed-beta battles, 97,717,550 battles fought, 29,653,666 hours played, 4.3 million unique accounts created, and 170+ updates adding 311 ships and 90 locations.
Is it safe to buy Star Conflict GS from these sites?
This page lists no reviewed sellers for Star Conflict — MMODude did not find a dedicated listing it could verify during its review, so no seller is ranked or recommended here. Any Star Conflict offer you find elsewhere is unverified by MMODude; if you buy anyway, start with a small first order and pay through the seller’s own checkout.
What's the difference between currency sellers, account sellers and boosting services?
This page lists no sellers. Currency sellers deliver in-game currency directly to your account. Account sellers sell established or geared Star Conflict accounts. Boosting services have a player carry you through content on your own account.
How often are these rankings updated?
There are no rankings on this page to update — MMODude lists sellers only after a dedicated listing has been verified, and pages with no verified market are re-checked on a schedule. If a Star Conflict market opens up, its sellers will be listed and ranked here.
