New World Patch Notes History

Amazon ended content updates after Season 10, Nighthaven. The remaining patches lower group sizes and raise drop rates until the servers close on January 31, 2027. Every major update below has a short summary, what it means for buyers where it matters, and links to the official notes.

    Smaller groups and triple drop rates

    • Hive of Gorgons, Trial of the Devourer, Winter Rune Forge, The Hatchery and Isle of Night now need only 5 players.
    • Territory XP and Umbral drop rates were tripled.
    • Several broken Steam achievements were granted, and OPR and CTF rotations were turned off in Devaloka and Delos.

    Amazon has ended content updates. Servers close on January 31, 2027, so anything bought for New World now only lasts until then.

    Daily mutations

    • The weekly cap for mutations rose to 100, and mutations now rotate daily instead of weekly.
    • Fixes for the AFK timer and for players sent to the main menu after leaving an instance.

    Region transfers and all transmogs

    • Region transfers opened through the Character Transfer service in the store.
    • Every transmog appearance unlocked, gear set slots rose to 30 and soulmark drop rates went up tenfold.
    • Outpost Rush dropped to 8v8 and Capture the Flag to 5v5.

    • New zone Nighthaven, an isolated land hidden from the rest of Aeternum.
    • Isle of Night, a ten-player endgame raid with three new bosses.
    • An overhaul of endgame progression, gearing and rewards across the game.
