PvE overhaul and EXFIL Brothers
- PvE PMC bots reworked: faction relations, spawns, gear and difficulty now scale with level and faction.
- Prestige comes to PvE, with PvE-only versions of the Finka knife, Akula push dagger and Gamma container as rewards.
- EXFIL Brothers: new accounts (Candidates) and veterans (Operators) get 5% more XP in joint raids, plus rewards as the newcomer progresses.
- Locked containers on Customs and Interchange now always hold loot, with new loot spots and extracts.
The PvE Expansions Hub now sells roubles for real money. It is PvE only; nothing we read changes PvP or the Flea Market.

How Trading Works in Escape from Tarkov
- Market
- Flea Market

- No
- No
- The Flea Market opens at level 15, and many item categories stay locked until levels 20 to 40.
Roubles can only move through Flea Market purchases or items dropped in a raid.
Whatever the method, a seller never needs your password or a 2FA code to deliver currency. Anyone who asks for them is asking for your account.

Escape from Tarkov Roubles and Accounts: What Battlestate Says
Escape from Tarkov's economy runs on roubles and on loot that players extract from raids, and it has no official system for turning cash into roubles. That makes the market for roubles, items and accounts firmly third-party. Battlestate Games has been public about its position on all three.
How the economy works
Roubles are earned by selling loot to traders or on the in-game Flea Market, and are spent on gear, ammunition and hideout upgrades. Because raids risk your kit, spending is constant, and progression can feel steep for new characters. Our rouble farming guide covers safer routes and the items worth prioritizing. The game reached version 1.0 in November 2025, and it has historically reset character progress at the start of new seasons, so check the current schedule; anything you buy loses value when progress is reset.
What Battlestate says about real-money trading
Battlestate Games has stated that buying and selling Escape from Tarkov accounts is strictly forbidden by its Terms of Service, and that both the buyer and the seller will be held liable. Its leadership has also said the studio will ban anybody caught buying or selling in-game items for real-world cash, and it has announced enforcement against sellers. There is no sanctioned route from real money to roubles: the official store sells game editions, not roubles.
Item sharing and boosting rules
Battlestate has also warned players to avoid large and consistent distribution of items to other players in raids, because that pattern can be treated as boosting or RMT. In 2020, some players reported bans under this guidance and complained that it was communicated on social media rather than in the license agreement. It is a reminder that the enforcement lines in Tarkov are broader than a simple ban on selling roubles, and that ordinary sharing of loot with friends can be misread if done at scale.
Risks for buyers
- Account trading. Because the terms treat both parties as liable, a bought account can be banned regardless of who used it last.
- Item and rouble sales. Items delivered by third parties frequently arrive through raid drops or trades that can look like the large item distribution Battlestate warns about.
- Total loss on a ban. A ban removes everything on the account, including anything you bought for it.
- Wipes. Progress resets remove purchased value, so timing matters more than in most games.
Ways to progress without buying
- Follow the quest and hideout paths that give the best starting gear for the least risk.
- Run low-risk raids to build a stash before attempting expensive maps.
- Play in groups. Squad play reduces losses in most maps and can speed up quests.
If you decide to buy from a third party
We cannot make a purchase compliant with Battlestate's terms, and we don't encourage breaking them. Given the studio's public position, the exposure for both accounts and items is significant. If you go ahead anyway, never share your login and be wary of anything that needs remote access. Our Tarkov buying guide and the safety guides explain the scam risks, and the vendors above are scored on delivery, support, pricing and trust.
