Map Rating and Act 6
- Opens Act 6. New Map Rating for Competitive and Premier scores each map from 0 to 500 with a C to S grade, from your overall, attack and defense win rates plus Performance Score; everyone starts from zero.
- Bind and Corrode join the Competitive and Deathmatch queues; Ascent and Split leave. Corrode gets shorter defender rotations, a reworked Mid and a smaller A Site plant zone.
- New Queue and Mode Select screen, a Career navigation bar, and fixes for the Masterful accolade threshold, Fog of War audio and Warden's scope reticle.
Riot's Act 5 report in these notes counts more than 76,000 accounts banned for 3 days or longer for rank manipulation (boosters, boosted players, hitchhikers and wintraders) between August 18 and October 1. Map Rating also starts everyone at zero, so it can't be sold with an account.

How Trading Works in Valorant
There is no way to hand currency or items to another player, so anything sold outside the game is an account, a top-up or a boosting service.
A top-up or boost that needs your login gives the seller full access to your account, and most publishers treat shared logins as a rules break in their own right.

Valorant Accounts and Boosting: The Current Enforcement Picture
Valorant is free to play, and its economy consists of Valorant Points for cosmetics, ranked progress and the accounts that hold both. The third-party market is therefore almost entirely about accounts and boosting — the two things Riot has recently made the focus of its enforcement. This guide explains what the rules say and what has changed.
What Riot's rules say
Riot's terms state that you cannot share your account or login credentials with anyone, and that you cannot sell, transfer or allow another person to access your account or credentials, or offer to do so. The Community Pact lists boosting, queue boosting, deranking, smurfing for competitive advantage and win trading as violations of fair play. Owning more than one account is not itself prohibited; the problem is using an account to gain an unfair advantage, evade a penalty or manipulate ranked matchmaking.
The 2026 enforcement wave
In September 2026, Riot reported that it has banned or suspended 296,416 Valorant and League of Legends accounts for rank manipulation since late 2025, using Vanguard's Anti-Boost system. The system launched privately on League in September 2025 and rolled out to Valorant this year. It looks for accounts that gain a large share of their ranked points from a higher-rated player logging in and performing far above the owner's normal level. Riot calls the account owner the “boostee,” the stronger player the “booster,” and lower-rated players who repeatedly queue with them “hitchhikers” — and all three can be penalized.
Reported penalties include removal of ranked points and rewards, a temporary suspension for boosted accounts with escalating penalties for repeat offenses, and permanent bans for purchased accounts that Riot determines have no legitimate owner. Known boosters can also have punishments applied to their own main accounts. Riot has said it is not finished: it plans to extend multi-factor authentication requirements and TPM 2.0 hardware checks to make it harder to use accounts on hardware that is not the owner's.
What this means if you're considering a purchase
- Bought accounts are the most exposed. An account that changes hands changes login location, device fingerprints and play patterns, and Riot has said it targets purchased and shared accounts specifically.
- Boosting leaves evidence. A sudden jump in performance across a series of matches is exactly what Anti-Boost is built to detect, and rank gained this way can be removed afterward.
- Hardware and MFA changes are coming. The direction of travel is toward verifying that the account owner is the one playing, which makes shared logins riskier over time.
- Credentials are the bigger everyday risk. Handing over a login to a booster gives a stranger access to your Riot account and everything it touches.
What this page lists, and why
The vendors above operate in the account and boosting categories because that is where the third-party market for Valorant exists. We list them so you can see who is operating and how they compare, not because the practice is permitted. If you are deciding whether a rank boost is worth the risk, the honest answer from the latest enforcement data is that the downside is larger than it has been at any time.
Ways to improve without the risk
- Coaching and VOD reviews. Sessions in which you play your own account and get feedback are ordinary play, not account sharing.
- Practice tools and routines. Aim training and structured deathmatch warm-ups make a measurable difference over a few weeks.
- Queue with a stack. Playing with consistent teammates usually improves outcomes more than any solo grind.
Our XP and Kingdom Credits farming guide and leveling guide cover earning progress inside the rules, and the safety guides explain the risks of any third-party service.
