Wuthering Waves Accounts and Top-Ups: Kuro Games' Fair Play Policy
Wuthering Waves has no tradeable currency, so the third-party market is accounts and top-ups. Kuro Games published a fair play policy that lists three things it says it will act on swiftly: third-party tools, account transactions and third-party top-ups.
How the currency works
Astrite is the game's main pull currency, earned through exploration, events and rewards, and Lunite, bought with real money, can be exchanged for Astrite. What Kuro Games' Fair Play Policy says
The policy strictly prohibits illegal third-party tools such as macros and data modification, and strictly prohibits any transaction that involves selling, purchasing or sharing accounts, adding that any loss or dispute resulting from such activities will be the sole responsibility of the parties involved. It also strictly prohibits top-ups via third-party applications and refund abuse. Kuro says such attempts will be met with swift action, including removal of illegal gains, account suspension or a permanent ban, depending on the severity and frequency of the offense, and it encourages players to report violations to customer service.
What that means for buyers
Because the publisher will not resolve disputes over account transactions, a buyer whose account is reclaimed or banned has no recourse from the game. The removal of “illegal gains” means currency from an unauthorized top-up can be taken back, which is the same pattern seen with other gacha titles.
Risks
- No support for disputes. Kuro says such transactions are the parties' sole responsibility.
- Removal of gains. Currency and pulls from unauthorized top-ups can be removed.
- Login sharing. Top-up and boosting services that need your login expose the account.
Safer options
Buy through the official store and plan pulls with the Pity Calculator; treat spending as entertainment with a set limit.
